Protectors of the earth, the great deity, the charnel ground mother, A-ghora, the six-armed one, the general offering to the dakinis, and the condensed version of the Tenden Phuk Gyalsol, were all performed. For the seasonal offerings, the activities of the Kagyed or the great and glorious Vajrakilaya tradition, the righteous one, the glorious protector couple, were extensively performed. On the second day, the memorial offering for the deceased father, and the offerings for the great Orgyen on the waxing and waning moons, the new treasure lama's peaceful practice, the preliminary fierce red practice, or the secret gathering Vajrasattva, or the gathering of all the Sugatas, Narag Dongtruk, or the Kagyed and Vajrakilaya, were performed as appropriate without interruption. After completing the morning, evening, and night, or mostly the torma offerings and the six-session prayers, the meditation and recitation of the gathering of all the Sugatas and the secret Vajrakilaya were performed until near midnight, remaining unmoving in the state of luminous great perfection, and sleeping in the state of boundless yoga in the wheel of luminous clarity at night. Upon reaching the dawn session, awakening in the wheel of the yoga deities with a single moment's rising, or mostly practicing the Ati Yoga of the clear and empty awareness of the Great Perfection, or the preliminary practices of the Great Glorious Secret Essence, and then until dawn, remaining in the unchanging samadhi of the Great Perfection. After that, a small amount of the lama's peaceful meditation and recitation, and also the vase-breathing tummo wind practice were performed. In particular, with four uninterrupted sessions, the vow was to never deviate from the unwavering samadhi and the instructions of Tögal in the state of Great Perfection. During some times of retreat breaks, meetings were held with fortunate male and female devotees, encouraging them to engage in virtuous deeds, and directing the wheel of activities. To those who relied on two or three, whether monks or laypeople, young or old, and poor devotees, the instructions of the two stages were taught according to their individual minds, and writings were composed, and the tantras, transmissions, and instructions were carefully examined. For all disciples, without discrimination between good and bad, the conduct of a fearless ascetic who has abandoned adornment was used to establish the path to liberation, without engaging in the kind of adornment that some lamas do these days, but with great compassion as the basis for actions and so on.
