On that day, the crown prince, with secret mantras like a vajra cutting through, bestowed the long-life empowerment from the Yarlung treasure upon the assembly of nearly seven hundred fortunate disciples, gathered like an ocean, and those residing permanently in Samadzé, Öling, and other places. On the tenth day of the waxing moon, at the Copper-Colored Lake of Dharma Source, as the resident practitioners invited, the tenth-day ceremony and Torma empowerment were performed. The next day, at the market of seven hundred Tibetan nomadic families, the long-life empowerment was bestowed from an open-air Dharma seat. This was the first time he performed empowerments and gave instructions for the fortunate retinue who were to be tamed, both resident and exiled. In the month of Sagittarius (Tibetan November), for the eldest son of the crown prince, who could bestow the glory of immortality and diligently practiced, a hundred long-life empowerments were performed at the beginning of the bathing month, and a bath for health was taken for a few days. The three fathers and sons, along with the elderly attendants and old monks, twenty in all, extensively made the tenth-day offering in the manner of a wrathful guru deity, which was personally arranged by the master. On the eighth day of the month of Capricorn (Tibetan December), at the Blissful Garden of the Dakinis, a new Torma base for the three root deities was established. The father, sons, and inner circle together made offerings and prayers. On the wrathful day, the master, along with his relatives and a roughly gathered sangha, went to Lhasa (Lhasa City), near the Jowo Temple, and resided in the Dranggyashak (འབྲང་རྒྱས་ཤག་) of Drepung Monastery. With reverence to the supreme guide of gods and humans, especially to the chamber of the Lord of the World in the Potala Palace, known as the Kadampa Cloister, on the golden throne lifted by five fearful faces, sat the venerable one who guides the world. The splendor of his secret body, speech, and mind, with their marks and signs, blazed intensely, unbearable like the glory of a billion suns. His feet were gently placed in the mandala of the total collection of immortal nectar. A vast array of long-life offerings was presented before him, and he received the breath of delight, the nectar of his command. At this time, to all beings of high, low, and intermediate status, he granted audience, prostrations, dispelled obstacles, gave blessings, and fulfilled wishes. Afterwards, he again went to visit the All-Knowing Gyalwa Rinpoche, listened to his nectar-like words, which soothed the heart like nectar, and received the grace of his teachings. He also offered tea, silk, silver coins, large measures, and so on, as if opening the treasure of the Lord of the World.
