On the third day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar, he set off towards Lhasa, passing through the Lumbha ferry. On the seventh day, he arrived at the Auspicious Garden of Wishes near the Potala Palace, where he was greeted by a welcoming party led by the nobleman Gatsang. The Dalai Lama bestowed upon him the usual provisions such as tsampa, firewood, and servants. The nobleman Gatsang offered all the necessary items such as the Giwa cushion and seat, and provided diligent service. On the twelfth day, in the Sunlight Room of the Potala Palace, the great monastery performed a long-life ritual and offered abundant offerings and gifts to the Potala Palace, both high and low, as a way to wish him long life. After the banquet, individual audiences were granted in order. First, seats were prepared in the guesthouse, and the host welcomed him. Tea was served from the kitchen, and during the special audience, he was given a seat and treated with great courtesy, including kind greetings. During this time, he visited the Great Golden Stupa and other sacred objects, and then was invited to the Dalai Lama's monastery, where he personally scattered flowers on the newly made thangkas and other sacred objects. All the monks and laypeople offered with extremely pure devotion and faith. On the fifteenth day, the King (referring to the then Regent) generously bestowed gifts. He met with his mother and the princes separately, and they exchanged respectful greetings. During his stay there, he freely bestowed empowerments and blessings to the monks, monastic groups, local tenth-day practitioners, and those observing the eight precepts, as well as to many other devotees. On the twentieth day, he set off. At Ramagang, the entourage of the nobleman Gatsang came to greet him, and they bid him farewell with beautifully decorated tents and seats. That night, he stayed in Sangda. The next day, on the top of Gyagmal Mountain, he invited Tara, the main deity, and Gyalma Buddha from Sangphu Monastery, offered khatas and offerings, and made grand prayers. He then gradually carried out activities such as Dharma donations to benefit beings, staying overnight in places like U-ang and Angtsen. At Dorje Drak, he was greeted with welcomes and meals.
