On the fifth day of June, he bestowed the empowerment of Yamantaka. On that day, a wonderful sign appeared when a rain of flowers that could be caught fell on the top of the Potala Palace. That night, he dreamed that in a beautifully constructed and delightful palace, like the Yalung Pemakö (palace), Guru Rinpoche was dressed as an Indian Pandit, surrounded by the great translator Vairotsana and the Dharma King father and son, etc., arranged in order, surrounded by many vidyadharas and dakinis.

In the center of entry, the wisdom mandala of Jampal (འཇམ་དཔལ་, Manjushri) Wrathful One appeared clearly, and after empowerment, the wisdom of great bliss was experienced in the heart, and the introduction was made to the end. The master summoned with an iron hook mudra, and the Lord of Death, Yama Dharma Raja, like an ugly and decaying appearance, countless forms of various postures, coming from the boundless other side, were commanded and strictly restrained, and then authorized as messengers of activities. He also respectfully promised, and everything coming from the outside gradually merged into the previous one, and finally, at the moment when that one also disappeared, he woke up. These auspicious signs were also due to the power of the ripening of the auspicious coincidence of the prayer in which the great master Padmasambhava had previously gathered the mandalas into one. Immutable Dharma, this root lord, especially this Dharma opens the door to benefit beings and transforms. The meaning of this saying was determined, and by this power, the obstacles to life were pacified, and power and politics flourished, and the Tibetan people were happy and joyful, and the activities of protecting with kindness were naturally accomplished, and so on, the auspicious coincidences were fulfilled. Thus, above, all the contents of the old and new treasures, and also for three months, staying close to the master, offering many Dharma teachings, and receiving unparalleled wealth and respect, both temporarily and in the long term, were supported by offerings. Afterwards, passing through Chushur (ཆུ་ཤུར་, present-day Qushui County), he returned to Tarling (དར་གླིང་), and according to the emperor's decree, after touring Aenial (ཨེ་གཉལ་) and other places, for a few months, he entered a strict retreat in the meditation chamber of the sleeping quarters, focusing single-mindedly on the practice of the generation and completion stages. In the second month of the Earth Bird year, he personally saw the great master Orgyen (ཨོ་རྒྱན་, Uddiyana) manifest as the Youthful Mindful One, appearing briefly in the sky with a retinue of many celestial maidens. By his blessing, many future events appeared clearly and without obstruction, like images in a mirror, and later they all came true as they were. After emerging from the retreat, he gathered with a small number of people, including his younger brother Gyalwa (རྒྱལ་བ, Victory)'s son, Yama Dharma Raja.
