Seeing Sakya Pandita, everyone developed faith. In connection with this, he engaged in the practice of achieving the seven lifetimes, and therefore his activities flourished greatly. Later, there were many instances where his situation could be represented by pills. At the age of twenty-two, he led about twenty-five disciples to Samye Monastery to perform official blessing rituals. At that time, he directly saw the powerful statue of Hayagriva in the Hayagriva Chapel momentarily transform into the actual Hayagriva. The sound of the horse's neighing was chilling. He received the empowerment to hold nectar from the statue's mouth, and a red crystal ball-like object, about the size of a bean, appeared. On another occasion, he saw the main deity and the five attendants in that temple, along with their bodies, appearing lifelike without the appearance of statues, radiating light, and heard them conversing with each other. After that, he passed through the Gyama La Pass and went to Maltrok Tsel in Maldro Gongkar (Maldro Gongkar County), where he performed blessing rituals similar to those at Samye Monastery. There, he met Rigdzin Kunchok Lhundrup. At that time and at other times before and after, he heard many teachings from this lama, such as the Ngok tradition's empowerment of the Nine Deities of Hevajra, the transmission of the Abhisambodhi Mandala Homa composed by Lotsawa Sonam Gyatso, the practical instructions for the Mantra Collection Black Heart Nail, the empowerment, wisdom transmission, and practical instructions for Loktri and Yangdzok, the Drigung tradition's Wrathful River ritual text, the transmission of the Chakhyungpa's astrological remedies, the subsequent permission and transmission of the Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara and Dharma Drakpa's Pure Vision Eight Protectors, and many minor instructions of the Drigung tradition such as the method of transforming hail into stones. After that, he went to Lhasa to meet the upper and lower officials. He received from the Omniscient Gyalwang the transmission and practical instructions for the Red Vajra of Shangtrom, as well as the transmissions of Smetsé and Guru Rinpoche's prayer, the two Ka Terma. Therefore, this venerable Jetsun said, "My two incomparable root lamas," one of whom is the holy Avalokiteshvara, the Omniscient Fifth Great Gyalwang Rinpoche. Not only was he the recipient of immeasurable kindness through being personally guided by his body, speech, and mind, but he was also repeatedly blessed by the wisdom body later on. Therefore, he regarded the Omniscient Lama and the Dharma King as his two root lamas, kept the thought of them as actual Buddhas in his heart, and praised them especially.

Regarding the great Fifth Dalai Lama, here is a brief summary of the many profound and extensive teachings he received. Primarily, within the pure and vast realm of the omniscient Lord himself, the teachings arose spontaneously as the play of the three roots, the appearance of self-awareness, wisdom, bliss, and emptiness. From the inconceivable secrets of the unobstructed Vajra speech, he bestowed instructions. To suit the capacities of those to be tamed, only a portion was recorded in books. The root and fragmented Dharma classes called "Extensive Profound Dharma," along with supplementary texts, such as empowerments, oral transmissions, blessings, subsequent permissions, pith instructions, profound guidance, practices, and introductions to diagrams, were joyfully bestowed without reservation in the manner of a full vase being emptied, which he listened to together with Dorje Drak Rigdzin Tulku. In the "Hum" marked "Laden Tokme Gyachen," it says: "The one named Empowerment is the emanation of Vairochana of the earth element. The emanation of the Vajra Yogin is the fire element. He will definitely arise from the south or southeast. If these two fortunate heart-sons are accomplished, they will definitely destroy the turmoil of demons that cause Tibet's downfall." Like this, he combined the two with the element of life and prophesied, empowering and enthroning them as Dharma lords, thus establishing the lineage. At that time, in a vision, in a flawlessly constructed palace of clear crystal, in which the noble Avalokiteśvara resided with a radiant body, when he prostrated with strong faith, his own mind merged inseparably with it. From that, the form of the body remained clear as before, and many gods and goddesses throughout the vast expanse of space bestowed empowerment, scattered auspicious flowers to relieve his breath, praised and enthroned him, and a wondrous vision arose. Later, the subsequent "Extensive Collection" that had not yet been written on paper was also given oral transmission and instruction by this Lord through Samadhi. Regarding the acceptance and rejection of prophecies, he said, "These are the ones," and with great joy, he generously bestowed teachings that were engraved upon his heart. Furthermore, there were the oral transmissions of Śāntarakṣita's Medicine Buddha ritual, Jowo Je's "Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment," and the guiding texts for the stages of the path, "Mañjuśrī's Oral Instructions," as well as explanations of the places of visualization, and the practice of Vajrabhairava's wheel of destruction based on Khedrup Je's writings.
