From the twenty-fifth onwards, extensive cremation ceremonies and offerings for the body were performed. The practice of cremating the remains was presided over by Bonlung Rinpoche. The actual head of the procession and the consecration of the inner relics were entrusted to the incarnate son of his heart. When the Omniscient Gyalwa Rinpoche went to Samye Monastery, the master himself went to offer the foundation offerings at his feet and to meet him in person. At that time, the Omniscient Lama briefly saw the body of Avalokiteśvara radiating immaculate light. As a result, the good imprints of past connections and circumstances were awakened, and he was encouraged by the Guru's exceedingly loving words. He was also bestowed with far-sighted instructions on what to adopt and abandon. On the night of the second seven-day ceremony for his father, in a vision of clear light, his father's wisdom body blazed with glory like the sun, and from it rays of light like the essence of honey were bestowed upon the face of this master, and he was blessed and encouraged, and then he departed into the western sky with wondrous displays of sound and light. Thus, this father, the great lord of secrets, is one of the two root gurus who are said to be "the incomparable benefactors of this great being." From the age of four or five until his father's passing into nirvana, he relied upon and listened to him, not only in the ways he had previously mentioned regarding when and where he listened, but also listened to countless other teachings. To mention just a few here, regarding the Nyingma Kama teachings, there are the Oral Transmission Secret Cycle, the Peaceful and Wrathful Gathering of All, the Illusion Net of Vimala, the Root Commentary on the Secret Essence, the Longchen Illusion Net, the Instructions on the Heart Essence of the Path of Liberation, the Wrathful Red Hayagriva Tradition, the Eight Commands of the Kagyé, and the traditions of the Three Lineages of Phurba: Rog, Nyang, and Nam.
