To welcome the arrival of the reincarnated lama, welcoming ceremonies and a motorcade were prepared at the dock. For two days, before and after, two hundred and fifty monks carrying offerings formed a magnificent welcoming procession. At the monastery, welcoming ceremonies and meetings were held, and a grand celebratory banquet was held at Kunzang Palace. At the same time, lavish gifts were offered, and tea and food were generously distributed to the monks at the assembly. Bonlung Tulku also offered private gifts. The monastery, according to custom, performed Cham dances and songs on the twenty-eighth major festival. On the fourth day of the second month, on the auspicious occasion of the accomplishment of Pasang Namdru, the assembly hall was newly decorated with gorgeous curtains, thrones, etc., and (the lama) was invited. A long-life ritual of the mandala of Tsepakme Yangnying Kundu was held, and Kunzang Dorje indisputably conferred the Dharma throne of Gongma to the speech emanation lama, who himself scattered auspicious flowers. To celebrate this grand event, a grand banquet was held, and many khatas with auspicious patterns, a complete set of monastic robes, cushions, face towels, handbells, Buddha image boxes, representations of body, speech, and mind, silverware, Chinese teapots, Chinese teacups, horses with saddles, etc., two mules, twenty-seven pieces of inner and outer clothing, tea, cloth, wool, and other exquisite items were presented, eleven sets to the speech emanation Rinpoche and three sets to the heart-son Rinpoche. In addition, the monastery's public property, private leaders, secretaries, elders, uncle Dharma officers, teachers, and all those belonging to the monastery's branch institutions, all offered countless gifts according to their respective economic conditions. Bonlung Tulku also received generous gifts. The monastic and lay people inside and outside the monastery also performed various programs such as drum music, dances, and songs.
