Arrived at Chag Jangchubling. There, incarnate nephews and other monks with evil minds slandered (him) in order to hinder (him), and used divisive words to separate monks, disciples, patrons, and devotees. Even immediately using rough, tattered, and inferior food, etc., to create various thorns in his heart, but he did not mind the perpetrators at all, instead spreading loving-kindness to them and abiding there. At this time, the attendants said, "It would be better to repay such offenses with evil. No matter what we do, this burden will only bring losses." (The master) instructed, "If we do not retaliate, we will not burn each other's continuums, and we ourselves will become patient, so even if retaliation cannot bring benefits, what is the use of repaying evil with evil?" There, he listened to the "Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra," minor sutras, and scattered lineages of collected dharanis from Geshe Yordan. At that time, the patron of Chagman invited (him), and a special ritual had to be performed. Although he had agreed, the attendants were frustrated because they had not brought scriptures from the monastery. At this time, a manuscript of his father's handwriting was found in the wall crack above the bedroom and given to them, and everyone was amazed. Once, (the master) said to the attendants, "It seems that I will soon become the owner of this monastery as before." He also received a definite prophecy. On the twenty-third day of the third month, he went to Kyosang with attendant Geshe Yordan. From the foot of Dro Ri Rinchen Tsekpa mountain behind the monastery, with wonderful omens, he received the treasure catalog and the headdress of Maha Guru. Soon after, he was taken to U-Tsang (Central Tibet), and spent three months in strict retreat, focusing solely on meditation. At the age of eighteen: At the age of eighteen, starting around the third month of the Water Rabbit year (1723), he became proficient in craftsmanship and summoned about fifteen skilled artisans. For the external support of his father, he supervised the construction of bedroom statues, the Eight Vidyadharas and Ten Guru statues, murals of Utse (main temple) and Seng-yab (lion throne), some volumes of his father's collected works and Padma Lingpa's treasure teachings, and the establishment of workshops for gold and copper miraculous stupas, etc. At Darling Samten Tse, the great accomplished Long Yangpa was in charge.

After that, he closed his doors to guests and strictly engaged in solitary retreat. Then, one day, he seemed to regain his energy and forcefully threw a fist-sized flint stone at the clay stove, but nothing was damaged. Also, on one occasion, the great accomplished one, Rinpoche, felt that Orgyen Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) had come here. He said, "Did you see him?" I replied, "I didn't see anything." He said, "I often have the illusion of meeting Orgyen. Once, my father's body transformed into the appearance of Orgyen, which seemed to be a blessing." I heard these words directly from the great accomplished one, Rinpoche. At that time, following the instructions of the catalog taken from Lhodrak, urged by the Dharma protector Dakinis, on the night of the fifth day of the fifth month, he took Jangchub Wangyal, his attendant, and his mother herself used many secret skillful means, without anyone inside or outside noticing, they set out on foot. They first went to Zurkhar, then to Samye Monastery to pay homage and pray, and on the night of the seventh, they arrived at Yamalung, searching for the location of the treasure door, but they did not find it. Then, on the morning of the tenth, they came to the right side of Chuwori, where there was a stone that looked like a treasure sign. There, they performed a Tsok offering and a Sang offering. A loud, formless sound suddenly came from the rock he was leaning against. Seeing that treasure sign that matched the catalog, he was convinced. He slightly dug the land at the junction of the mountain and valley, and found a treasure door tightly built with blue-gray stones. He opened it with an iron chisel, and in the middle of coal ash and fire-burnt sand, he found a square lapis lazuli treasure box, and a cylindrical, bamboo-tube-shaped treasure object about five fingers long. After obtaining these, he sealed the treasure door, making it invisible. The next day, they set out from there, and in Yamalung, they performed a Tsok and a tenth-day offering with all the food they had, and had to beg for food along the way. They stayed overnight in Zurkhar and Gesal, and on the thirteenth, they arrived at Darling. Opening the cylindrical treasure box, there were the practice cycle of Achimey Yangnying Kundu (Long-Life Quintessence, All-Gathering), and long-life pills marked with ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: Hrih). He immediately gave one pill to his mother.
