On the twentieth, he returned to Darlung. In order to perform a long-life ritual for the emperor, along with the necessary caretakers, he arrived as requested. Starting from the first day of Saga month (Tibetan April), about twenty Khenpos and monks spent a week completing the life-extension practice, and auspicious signs appeared. In addition, for the long-life ritual for Yumchenmo of Zhikha (place name), many excellent teas and six sets of tea utensils were sent, as well as a large amount of silk offerings. On the nineteenth, he returned to the great monastery, and on the twenty-first, on an auspicious and perfect occasion of stars and times, in the Protector's Hall, he performed the complete ritual of consecration and empowerment for the torma offerings and other sacred objects, as well as the prayer of activities. Starting from the twenty-third, he did the finishing work of mounting the Eight Names Thangkas, and spent a week completing the long-life ritual for the emperor. He also bestowed empowerments, subsequent permissions, instructions, etc., as appropriate, to many monks from Kham who were returning to their hometowns.
