After being invited, the monks of Khampa were granted longevity empowerments and other wishes. The next morning, at the Shara relay station dock, many local lay and monastic people came to pay their respects, including the former teacher of the Yarabhda Nalanda residence and the private tutors of various monasteries, who came to welcome and prepare food. The Sangha, led by the Khenpo, greeted them with a procession and proceeded to the Dharma College of Drepung Jedrung Tshel, the source of scholars. Khenchen Tashi Gyaltsen and the Labrang government provided generous hospitality, and the public halls of the three colleges also invited and bestowed great hospitality. From the outer Dharma seat, longevity empowerments were given to the Khenpo, teachers, Sangha, and local people. From the throne in the assembly hall, the Khenpo addressed the assembly, explaining the origins related to the extensive lineage of the Guru Yoga, and admonished them to engage extensively in study and reflection. There, five rounds of tea were offered to the Sangha, along with the offering of silk scarves. In the Labrang, gifts were also given, and the grains and other wealth obtained there were stored. Generous gifts were also given to those who were taking the Great Sutra examination. Upon returning, generous public and private offerings were received, and they were invited to the throne of the Faculty of Philosophy. Later, in Namgang, all the residents welcomed them from Chakha and proceeded to Karpo Lhok. They stayed there for about ten days, bestowing the remaining teachings from before. The Khampa teacher and disciples offered a long-life ritual and related ceremonies based on the mandala of Amitayus, along with clay statues, Chinese porcelain, white offerings, and other Chinese offerings, large and small Mongolian drums, silks, horses, livestock, and other valuable items. On the tenth day of the twelfth month, a grand farewell feast was held. The next day, at the relay station where they were departing, many monks from Drepung Monastery came to pay their respects out of faith.
