Offerings were made to great beings in all directions, and extensive virtuous deeds such as offering tea to the monastic communities of both inside and outside, and Phyongs rgyas were performed. Then, due to the ominous signs of a life-threatening situation in the coming year, he entered retreat in the chamber of Dewachen (blissful realm), focusing single-mindedly on his practice. We seven monks performed a one-week retreat for his longevity, and on the eighth day of November, the assembly elaborately offered a long-life prayer through the means of the "Essence of Amitayus, the Union of All" (Tshe dpag med yang snying kun 'dus). At that time, His Majesty the Emperor bestowed a throne with a vajra pattern, as well as supports for body, speech, and mind, a complete set of robes, tea sets, silks, and other lavish offerings. The assembly distributed monastic tea and auspicious khatas, and offered the long-life prayer text "The Excellent White Lotus, Bodhicitta," and specially appointed Gelong Lobsang Yonten from Phulung to arrange the long-life ceremony, coordinating with the preparation of the tea offering for the lighting of the stove in the new kitchen of Rungkhang Sarpa, which became an auspicious and perfect occasion, certainly bestowed by his unerring foresight. After that, he returned to the monastery and stayed in retreat for about two months. In the intervals of practicing the deity, he made drawings of murals, etc. Starting from the painter O-lön, to Phodrang Phuntsok, Lhakhang Kukye, and the residents of Zhora Subkyimpa, each with their own students, they began the work of painting murals in the assembly hall, inner and outer porticoes, protector shrine, and upper and lower levels of the seng-yab (lion-faced canopies). At the beginning of the fourth month, according to the edict from the emperor, he traveled to Kyishö, and as soon as he arrived at the Potala Palace, he immediately went to pay homage to the emperor. There, for the health of the emperor, he offered the empowerment and transmission of the Eka Nyingtik tradition, including demon exorcism, curse reversal, life ransom, Dakini shadow removal, Eight Classes of Gods and Demons shadow removal, longevity empowerment, and Gur Drag empowerment.
