To eliminate all kinds of incorrect views related to the benefit of others, although it is divided into five parts by means of distinction, it is the key essence to unite it into one whole. Be sure to remember the key points!! The second overall exclusion is to avoid unnecessary inclusion, limitation, and change. Someone says: When explaining the definition of 'aspect' in the 'Compendium' (Kunbtus), 'the entity' is the only thing that needs to be pointed out. Therefore, there is no need to mention the limiting word 'only'. Because the word 'intention' is mentioned next to it, it can exclude the unproven examples that may become necessary to prove in the future, thereby determining what is the correct thing to prove, so it is said. If it is said that way, then in the 'Compendium', in the definition of the five aspects, the two words 'self' and 'intention' are mentioned, although it can be understood as excluding the unproven examples that may become necessary to prove in the future, thereby determining what is the correct thing to prove, but even so, mentioning the word 'only' is not unnecessary, because in order to eliminate the misconception that at other times, it may be thought that the unproven examples that may become necessary to prove in the future are the correct things to prove at that time, that's why it is said. If it is not said that way, then such a misconception will definitely arise, because the word 'intention' in the 'Compendium' is related to the words that indicate the future tense of the three times of past, present, and future, namely: 'That entity is only, self and intention, pointed out without exclusion.' Because it is related to the things that need to be pointed out and the base and attributes. Therefore, it is explained that: Although mentioning self and intention can understand the meaning of limitation, because it is related to the end of 'doing', it is said for exclusion at other times. Here, even if the word 'intention' is only related to the opponent's own assertion, there is no problem, and even if 'self' and 'intention' are separated and related, there is no problem, because in the 'Treasury of Logic' (rnam nges) it is said: 'Here, through the words of self and intention, although the meaning of what needs to be limited can be understood.' In order to eliminate the suspicion that all three (self, intention, and non-difference) are 'intention', someone says: In the word 'intention' in the five aspects of the 'Compendium', although there is a basis for generating the misconception that what may become necessary to prove in the future is now the correct thing to prove, it must be able to eliminate itself. Because the word 'intention' in the 'Gate of Categories' (rigs sgo) can eliminate it, then what is the difference between the two? Because there is no difference between the two. If it is said that way, then it is necessary to discuss the two aspects of directly showing the argument and studying the difficulties of the wise. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

第一部分:在《集论》(Kunbtus,Compendium of Topics)中解释方分之相的五个部分时,这里所说的‘欲’('dod pa',desire)这个词,是词根加上词缀的力量而变成‘欲’('dod par gyur pa',become desire)这个词的,这个‘欲’('dod tshig',desire word)是法, 2-289 你不能断除‘未来可能成为所证,现在是所证吗?’的怀疑,因为你断除怀疑的能力被‘应显示’(bstan bya ba,that which should be shown)这个词所破坏。 的邪分别,因为它与‘应显示’(bstan bya ba,that which should be shown)相关联。如果这样认为,那是不一样的。未来可能成为所证的例子,因不成实,现在正被用作那个时候的能立,而‘唯’(kho na,only)的意义是,现在正被用作那个时候的能立。

English

The first part: In the context of explaining the five aspects of the characteristics of aspects in the *Compendium of Topics* (Kunbtus), here, the term 'desire' ('dod pa'), the root of the Sanskrit word for desire, is the word 'become desire' ('dod par gyur pa') formed by the power of adding an affix to the root. This 'desire word' ('dod tshig') is a dharma, 2-289 You cannot dispel the doubt of 'Could it be that what will become the object to be proven in the future is the object to be proven now?', because your ability to dispel doubt is destroyed by the term 'that which should be shown' (bstan bya ba). For example, 'The Buddha came into the world, and the Dharma was spoken, it should be shown.' (sangs rgyas 'jigs rten byon pa dang/ chos gsungs pa la bstan par bya/) is also the same. The phrase 'The Buddha came into the world, and the Dharma was spoken' is obscured by the future tense phrase 'The Dharma was spoken, it should be shown' (chos gsungs la bstan par bya/). It is explained thus: 'The affix of desire here is a limb.' ('dod rkyen 'dir ni yan lag yin/) The categories are not the same. (rigs sgo ni mi mtshungs so/) Showing that, the characteristic of the aspect of category is a dharma. Your aspect's word 'become desire' ('dod par gyur pa') possesses the ability of a limb to dispel such doubts. Your aspect's 'desire word' ('dod tshig') is able to prevent examples that may become objects to be proven in the future, reasons that are not established, and all dissimilarities in the category of valid objects to be proven. Because that word has the basis for generating such doubts, and 'that which should be shown' (bstan bya ba) is the destroyer of the ability to dispel doubt, it is the basis of distinction, and is not a valid sign due to its relation, etc. 2-290 It is explained thus: 'For the words that have become desire, validity lies in this, it prevents reasons that are not established, etc.' ('dod par gyur pa'i tshig dag la/ yang dag nyid yin de yis ni/ gtan tshigs ma grub la sogs 'gog/) Here, the root of 'desire' ('dod pa') is *li tsu*, and the affix is two named ṣṭha, of which *ka* is given to the root, because its suffix is the meaning of relation and *ka*, so later the power of the letter ṣa transforms the letter ta into the letter ṭa, so *iṣṭa* is become desire, the method of accomplishment is completely without difference, so say the scholars. ༄། ། Analysis of Difficult Points by Wise Scholars Second, analyzing the difficult points: Then, the 'only' (kho na) of the *Compendium of Topics* (Kunbtus) also cannot dispel the wrong conception of 'Could it be that what will become the object to be proven in the future is the valid object to be proven now?', because it is related to 'that which should be shown' (bstan bya ba). If you think so, it is not the same. The example that may become the object to be proven in the future, the reason that is not established, is now being used as the proof for that time, and the meaning of 'only' (kho na) is that it is now being used as the proof for that time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ན་
