Now, these ransomers, I offer you the ransom of the patrons. There, many are the satisfying luminous jewels, delicious foods, sweet drinks, and thirty strong servants, medicines, incense, and bright lamps. I offer these to you, please accept them with a pure heart. Through the mantra practitioner twirling the vajra dagger, expelling with mustard seeds, throwing various effigies, and performing the combination of suppression and cursing, may all those powers be turned back. May the Bonpos beating the great drum, throwing red and green pellets, and engaging in arguments and fights, be turned back. May the breaking of fierce mantras and subtle curses, and the powers driven by the eight classes of fierce spirits, be turned back. All the Dharma protectors and demons, some follow the remnants of offerings, some come as executors of vows, some are cursed by fierce mantra practitioners, some show the cause and effect of the teacher, some spread plagues and chronic diseases, prevent rainfall, bring crop failures, some send hail and frost, pursue old debts, follow the traces of relatives and friends, and the nagas who spread leprosy, all harmful, vengeful spirits and demons, devouring flesh, blood, and life breath, devouring fruits and harvests, devouring rotten mucus, and the gods of the elements, the lords of the earth, together with the year, trigrams, and numerology, may all be satisfied by the ransom, please pacify harmful conflicts and evils, entrust the elimination of debts and revenge, please increase our wealth, I beseech you to turn back curses and black magic, please fulfill all wishes, with the power of compassion, expound the sacred Dharma, you too have wandered in the ignorance of samsara, now please possess bodhicitta, take your own body as an example, do not bring harm to others, strive on the path of liberation from sin, in your own mind, continuously gaze upon the self-existing face of the Dharmakaya, in the state of emptiness and compassion, please pacify diseases and plagues, send down abundant rain at the appropriate time, for the yogi, myself, and my retinue, turn back the previous enemies and the present fierce enemies, turn back all external conspiracies, turn back eighty-one sudden events, turn back three hundred and sixty evil thoughts, turn back four hundred and four diseases, turn back eighty thousand obstacles, pacify yakshas, demons, vow-breakers, and female yakshas, female ghosts, and back-dwelling demons.

Please avert the evil spirits of mother and child! Please avert hateful enemies and harmful demons! Please avert everything without exception! Avert bad omens of years, months, days, and times! Please avert all corpses' ghosts! Please avert all hungry ghosts! Please avert the stealing of life force! Please avert the evil spirits of children! Please avert the evil spirits of livestock! Do not utter inauspicious words! Pacify the wars of others, Accomplish my own war tactics! Pacify enemies, thieves, and robbers! Eliminate drunkenness and fighting, And the plagues of one, two, three, and seven days! Please avert fear and harm! All kinds of evil and harshness, Please avert them right now! Please make the land peaceful! Please make the sacred Dharma flourish! Pacify strife, Please grant a life of a hundred years, Please grant seeing a hundred autumns! Please make the auspicious mountain stable, And blessings like the sky and sunlight, Grant unwavering and indestructible accomplishments! Having said this, entrust it to the path, and from within, recite the power of truth as explained below. This aversion can be repeated three times or more if desired. Or, when it is important to stop epidemics, etc., perform the throwing of 'gto' (ransom offerings) outside, carrying a black banner and musical instruments towards the direction of throwing. Furthermore, for diseases and epidemics, send it to the gentle direction of road junctions, etc.; for curses and enemy demons, send it to their direction; even for heavy rain, send it to the source of water or the lakeside, etc., and observe with wisdom. Lifting the 'mdos' (ransom offering) cake to the sky, with firm pride in oneself as the deity, and with clear visualization of Tara, etc., as witnesses and support, recite the power of truth and perform the 'mdos' aversion, which is: Homage! By the power of the Noble Three Jewels, etc., until: May it not occur from now on! After reciting as above, The mantra practitioner whirls the phurba (ritual dagger), Throws mustard seeds, Performs the suppression of the effigy 'zor', Please avert all the power and ability of these!
