May I generate the supreme and unsurpassed Bodhicitta! The Tathagata said in the Sutra of Instructions to the King: "King, you have many affairs, and cannot learn giving and so on one by one. Whether walking, staying, sleeping, or standing, with desire and faith, seek perfect and complete enlightenment, rejoice in the virtues of others, and offer to the Buddhas and their sons. Share this root of virtue with all beings, and may all sentient beings perfect the Dharma of the Buddhas, and dedicate it to supreme enlightenment. By doing so, the affairs of the kingdom will not decline, and the accumulation of enlightenment will be perfected." This is the essence of Mahayana Buddhism. As long as there is a desire to seek, such practice is not difficult. A person without love and compassion will fall into error even if they practice the Dharma. Therefore, if you want to become a Buddha, do not abandon great compassion. Do not think you are incapable, do not think you are too busy, being controlled by others, procrastinating, being lazy, being arrogant, thinking it is not true, or wasting time. These eight are obstacles to Dharma practice, and on this dangerous path, both oneself and others are blocked. Few people do not need to regret at the time of death. Even for the sake of food and drink, they can cut up the bodies of others and regard killing as a pleasure. Sinful food, flesh and blood, is endless. Even a tiny prick, like the skin of a sesame seed, cannot bear the suffering of one's own body and mind. Tears fall for such Bodhisattvas. Although they are called practitioners, they are just empty words. The cause and effect that the Buddhas have repeatedly praised, which can surely be obtained, is abandoned like a root, but they pursue the channels, drops, and winds that cannot be obtained. Generation and completion stages, high-sounding Dharma language, the practice of activities and attainments, the fruit of attainment, psychic powers and miracles, etc., are all practiced like a madman. Do not trust such practitioners in this degenerate age. Most are deceived by such people. However, one should abandon wrong views and slander, not follow them, and purify pure appearances. In this degenerate age, those who truly value the results of actions and are without selfishness and hypocrisy are more wonderful than anything else. Cherishing oneself with compassion, gathering others with generosity, subduing enemies and demons with meditation and recitation, etc. Most of the narrow-minded have made the fruit of practice

Hoping to have the happiness of this. If one's own wishes are not fulfilled, accumulate merit and cultivate renunciation. The happiness and suffering of this life are the result of past actions, and present actions will ripen in the future. The future good results will not deceive, so one should believe in the existence of a future life. Now, to summarize the excellent conduct: Abandon peace, ferocity, and deceit. At all times, keep your mind pure and unblemished, and possess a sincere desire to benefit others. Recite the Sutra of the Three Heaps as much as possible, practice the Seven-Branch Prayer, and offer many profound prayers. To the best of your ability, cultivate emptiness and compassion. Possess the complete practice for attaining liberation. Although there are many ways to cultivate emptiness, if you can well realize the emptiness of your own mind, you can overturn the boundary between samsara and nirvana, and fundamentally undo the knot of delusion and liberation. This mind is originally emptiness; it is not newly cultivated after being modified. No matter what appearances of samsara or nirvana arise, everything is a magical display of the mind. There is nothing else besides that. All those who cultivate emptiness through analysis are like demolishing an empty house from the outside. Engaging in practice by focusing on the mind is like entering an empty house. This is close to realizing emptiness. The creator of all happiness and suffering is this present conceptual thought. The so-called Dharmakaya free from elaboration is nothing other than awareness and emptiness. Conceptual thought and self-awareness are neither good nor bad, and are not different. Distinguish whether self-nature is awareness or ignorance. If I, in any case, resolve to realize the true nature of my own mind, I must have renunciation and great compassion, as well as fervent faith and blessings. Until it arises, the meaning of reality cannot be truly realized, and even seeing a little bit is not correct. This is very important for abiding in meditation. All moving consciousnesses, the later thought not yet arisen, the former thought already ceased. Even if you don't think about anything in between, that clear, aware, and unceasing mind, although it can be experienced, cannot be expressed. Just abide in that state, do not negate, affirm, create, or modify. Whatever thoughts arise from that, do not cling to them, let them naturally dissolve. If you are skilled, you can be liberated effortlessly. For happiness, suffering, attachment, aversion, afflictions, etc., investigate the essence of the experiencer, do not let consciousness chase after external objects, abide in the state of emptiness of self-nature, and once accustomed, do not regard it as a fault, but abide directly.
