如果所有的附庸都变得贫穷，那么王国的权势就如同亏损的月亮。恶行增长，对一切都有害。即使那样，也不要伤害生命，而是要进行阻止其蔓延的惩罚。生命对自己来说是珍贵的，对他人来说也是非常珍贵的。无论事情大小，在没有彻底考察之前，不要轻率地开始，一旦开始就要坚持到底。同样，无论是亲近还是疏远的人，说了好坏参半的话，在考察并获得确信之前，不要取舍或轻视。博学、智慧、力量等等，如果具备功德，就会受到大家的尊敬。如果没有功德，就会被任何人轻视。因此，要发展自己的功德。人们喜欢拥有财富的人，但不喜欢拥有恩情的人。善良且有智慧的人们，舍弃拥有财富的人，而去寻找拥有恩情的人。做卑鄙的事情是不可取的，施恩却得到报复。用恩惠来回报伤害，是高尚人士无上的美德。对于自己做错的事情，即使别人责骂也不要生气。那不是别人的过错，而是自己智慧的过错。因此，对于思考和行为，今后要非常谨慎。言语粗暴会与所有人争吵，说真话会让有缺点的人恼怒。说闲话多会让人轻视，谎言会欺骗自己和他人。过多的责骂会扰乱自己和他人的心绪，所以在众人之中要守护自己的语言，独自一人时要守护自己的行为。在任何情况下都要好好守护自己的心。这样自己就不会衰败，并且会成为被大家尊敬的对象。虚伪狡诈一开始欺骗别人，最终会欺骗自己。正直诚实的行为，即使一时失败，最终也会成功。因此，舍弃虚伪狡诈，以寂静的方式秘密行事，就会成为大家可以信任的人。抛弃旧友而寻找新友，没有羞耻心且目光短浅，开始做任何事情都不会坚持到底。地位高但知识浅薄，名声大但功德小，把欲望藏在自己的内心深处，把无意义的争端强加给别人。 对非己方的人进行诽谤，反驳所有好的言论，给予有益的教导却被当成敌人。盗取被信任者的心，把秘密告诉敌人。

If all vassals become impoverished, the power of the kingdom is like a waning moon. The growth of evil deeds is harmful to all. Even so, do not harm life, but rather carry out punishment that prevents its spread. Life is precious to oneself, and it is also very precious to others. Whatever the matter, large or small, do not start rashly without thorough examination, and once started, persevere to the end. Likewise, whether it is a close or distant person, having spoken words that are both good and bad, do not accept, reject, or despise them until you have examined them and gained certainty. Extensive learning, wisdom, strength, and so on, if endowed with virtues, will be respected by all. If without virtues, one will be despised by anyone. Therefore, cultivate your own virtues. People like those who have wealth, but not those who have kindness. Virtuous and wise people abandon those who have wealth and seek those who have kindness. Doing despicable things is not advisable, repaying kindness with harm. Repaying harm with kindness is the supreme virtue of noble people. For one's own wrongdoings, do not be angry even if others scold you. That is not the fault of others, but the fault of one's own wisdom. Therefore, regarding thoughts and actions, be very cautious from now on. Harsh words will cause quarrels with everyone, speaking the truth will anger those with faults. Speaking too much gossip will cause people to despise you, lies will deceive both yourself and others. Too much scolding will disturb the minds of yourself and others, so in the midst of many people, guard your speech, and when alone, guard your behavior. In all circumstances, guard your mind well. In this way, you will not decline, and you will become worthy of being respected by everyone. Hypocrisy and deceit initially deceive others, but ultimately deceive oneself. Honest and upright behavior, even if it fails temporarily, will ultimately succeed. Therefore, abandoning hypocrisy and deceit, act secretly in a peaceful manner, and you will become someone whom everyone can trust. Abandoning old friends and seeking new ones, having no shame and being short-sighted, never persevering to the end in anything one starts. Having a high position but shallow knowledge, having great fame but small virtues, hiding desires deep within one's heart, imposing meaningless disputes on others. Slandering those who are not on one's side, refuting all good words, and regarding beneficial teachings as enemies. Stealing the heart of those who are trusted, and telling secrets to enemies.

不要多说废话。 像破损的皮囊一样，边缘粗糙。 品行恶劣的人，谁都难以相处。 委托他不听，存放着他要拿走。 聚集他就逃跑，放开他就回来。 做了还行，不做一切， 不该做的事却什么都做。 唉，恶时势力猖獗， 恶劣之辈反而趾高气扬。 把一切痛苦都误认为快乐， 把恶劣的行为都自诩为善良。 修行人如法修行， 人们循规蹈矩地行事， 如同白天的星星一样稀少。 然而，如果行持与佛法相符， 时代的变迁也无法阻碍。 统治大地的人君， 和微小的蚂蚁， 在死后的境遇上没有差别， 这些显现都如梦一般。 转瞬即逝，没有永恒。 对任何事物都无法信任， 因此，要以无执的善行为道路。 以上是关于取舍之道的第四段话。 对于佛法和政治的原则， 用百种见识装饰的双眼， 虽然不依赖于日常的言辞， 但这一些 是汇集要点的词句。 为了说出不可更改的良言。 我不是圣人， 也不是精通世事的智者。 然而，清净的经论， 我以博学为证人而书写。 多麦（安多地区）大地的中心， 由四部和十善守护的， 统治者的期望。 在以佛法治理国政的同时， 总是倾心于善事。 应大管家索南的劝请， 多闻的比丘形象， 阿旺云丹嘉措所写。 愿一切都以善行的苦行， 成为通往解脱的助缘。 吉祥圆满增长！

Do not speak excessively. Like a damaged leather bag, the edges are rough. Those with bad character are difficult for anyone to associate with. If entrusted, they do not listen; if stored, they demand it back. If gathered, they flee; if released, they return. It is okay to do, but they do not do everything, Instead, they do whatever should not be done. Alas, the power of evil times is rampant, The wicked ones are high and mighty. They mistake all suffering for happiness, And boast of their evil deeds as goodness. Practitioners practicing according to Dharma, And people acting according to customs, Are as rare as stars in the daytime. However, if one acts in accordance with Dharma, The changes of time cannot hinder it. The ruler who governs the great earth, And the tiny ant, Have no difference in their future state, These appearances are like dreams. They are fleeting and impermanent. Since one cannot trust anything, Therefore, take the path of selfless good deeds. The above is the fourth section of words on the path of what to take and leave. Regarding the principles of Dharma and politics, Eyes adorned with a hundred kinds of insight, Although not relying on daily words, But these few are words that summarize the key points. To speak words of good that cannot be changed. I am not a saint, Nor am I a wise man who is proficient in worldly affairs. However, the pure scriptures, I write with extensive learning as my witness. The center of the land of Domey (Amdo region), Protected by the four divisions and the ten virtues, The expectations of the ruler. While governing the country with Dharma, Always devoted to good deeds. At the request of the great steward Sonam, The image of a well-learned monk, Written by Ngawang Yonten Gyatso.
