If mantras are not accomplished, or even if mantras are accomplished, actions go astray, contradicting liberation, etc., in order to avoid raising many doubts, if one doubts secret mantras, then it becomes the wisdom of a speculator, because there is no end to wrong paths. As it is said, "Those are not to be elaborated here." If so, then even the activities of pacification, etc., will be examined. If examined, it will become endless, therefore all mantra activities must be stopped. If stopped, then the means of many conveniences, no difficulties, etc., will also become meaningless. Furthermore, the invoking of the blessings of the noble ones, is it actually invoked or not? If not invoked, one will not be blessed; if invoked, it will harm the noble ones. Even if not actually invoked, one can be blessed by the power of faith, then the same reasoning applies to earth, essence, etc. Even if invoked, it will not harm the noble ones, because the secret is inconceivable. If you say so, then the karmic appearances of sentient beings are also inconceivable, therefore it is even more the same. Benefiting one does not necessarily harm the other, just as rain from the ocean benefits crops but does not harm the ocean. For example, if one prays to a very pure wish-fulfilling jewel, it will fulfill desires, but it will not steal things from other places, and the wish-fulfilling jewel itself or other things will not be harmed, but by the power of dependent origination, it benefits the giver himself. Similarly, the power of mantras and samadhi is inconceivable, and the accomplishment of generosity comes from the power of faith. Ngawang Drakpa said, "In this world, whatever other things there are, there is nothing that mantras cannot accomplish. With correct faith and effort, mantras are like wish-fulfilling jewels." Therefore, if one uses speculative wisdom to measure the nature of reality and the principles of mantras, there is no other necessary ability than to throw many small-minded people into the abyss of bad destinies. Therefore, those who have not attained patience and clairvoyance should only practice with firm faith. As it is said in the tantra, "For the wise who have no doubt about the inconceivable meaning of reality, accomplishment is near. Or the foolish who have firm faith, accomplishment is near for those who practice it. The speculators who speculate and examine, accomplishment is far away for them." Read the colophon four times like this.

Napaso. Tenth, the knowledge of averting death and living long through those methods is twofold: common and specific. The first has three aspects: reasoning, examples, and explanation. First, the sutra states: "All sentient beings abide by food." The scholar writes: "Through labor, ripening, drinking, and so on, the fire in the stomach blazes. The fire blazes intensely, so it can fully absorb food. By fully digesting, the body grows, and by growing, strength increases. From strength, life increases, and by that increase, one lives long. How can there be doubt about this which is manifestly established by all?" Thus, from the instructions, there is no doubt about living for kalpas, etc. Just as one lives by having food and cannot live without it, life itself is the coarse cause and condition of the method. Second, the scholar says: "From the exhaustion of oil and essence, etc., lamps and the like also tend towards destruction. But if one obtains oil, etc., again, they can last until the end of the kalpa. Just so, this body also tends towards death due to aging, etc. If one finds the instructions for accomplishment well, why can't it last until the end of the kalpa? For example, an old house lasts long by being repaired. Likewise, why wouldn't an old body also abide by being repaired?" As it is said, if one is skilled in the methods of prolonging life and diligent, there is no difficulty in living long. Third, according to the Abhidharma, life is entirely the maturation of karma. To prove this, Arhats do not mix time. Because the food supply is insufficient for a special person or the Sangha, they enter the highest samadhi with strong intention. Rising from that samadhi, through the power of the roots of virtue and consciousness that desire to ripen the maturation of my enjoyment, it is said that the life of the Vipaka is stopped. Therefore, accumulating merit and fully dedicating it increases life, because ransoming life, etc., are causes consistent with the result. Moreover, it does not become uncertain karma, because the field, intention, and action are very complete, and the stream of the projection of karma is continued, just as repairing a water channel continues the stream of irrigation. Therefore,
