And also having the conducive conditions for practicing Dharma, such as food and clothing. If one has these three, then meditate on joy. Also, pray that others have these three. If they do not, then meditate on compassion for others. Gather all the main factors that all sentient beings lack onto oneself and take them on. Pray that oneself and others all have these three. Meditate on the three that do not decline. This means that all the qualities of the Mahayana Dharma depend on the lama, so one should cultivate unwavering devotion to the lama; mind training is the essence of the Mahayana Dharma, so one should not lose joy in practicing mind training; and one should practice the three trainings of the three vows without decline. One should have the three that are inseparable. This means that one should always abandon evil with body, speech, and mind, and have the roots of virtue that are inseparable. Train without bias towards objects. Cherish pervasiveness and mastery in everything. This means that one should not be biased towards objects, whether they are sentient beings, the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, or non-sentient beings, or non-humans, etc. One should pervade all good and bad that appear in the mind with mind training. Moreover, it is not just a matter of words, but one should master it from the depths of one's heart, which is very important. Always meditate on the applications. This means that one should especially cultivate loving-kindness and compassion towards difficult objects of mind training, such as hated enemies, harmful obstacles, especially evil practitioners who harm one in return for one's kindness, as well as those who oppose oneself, those who associate with one, those who are naturally harmful even without resentment, and those who are disliked in one's heart due to karma. One should also especially avoid harming important objects such as lamas and parents. Do not rely on other conditions. This means that one should not rely on good or bad conditions such as the state of one's body, the amount of one's possessions, the kindness or unkindness of others, or the presence or absence of harm. If favorable conditions are present, then practice mind training on top of those conditions; if they are not present, then practice the two bodhicittas on top of those conditions. In short, one should not rely on oneself or others, but always be inseparable from the yoga of mind training. Now mainly practice. This means that from beginningless time, all the countless times of taking bodies have passed meaninglessly. There will be no such opportunity to have such favorable conditions in the future, so now

Having obtained a human body, at this time of encountering the true Dharma, it is necessary to practice one of the most important things that will accomplish the ultimate aspirations of lifetimes. That is, the affairs of the next life are more important than the affairs of this life, and liberation from samsara is the most important thing in the next life. Benefiting others is more important than benefiting oneself. Of the two, teaching and practice of the Dharma, practice is the most important. Among other practices, cultivating the mind of Bodhicitta is the most important. Among them, rather than analytical meditation on scriptures and reasoning, it is more important to steadfastly meditate on the Guru's instructions. More important than other behaviors is to sit on the bed and practice. Do not invert! That is to say, the six inversions must be abandoned: Unable to endure the hardships of practicing Dharma, but able to endure the suffering of subduing enemies, supporting relatives, farming, business, etc., this is inverted endurance. Not willing to practice pure Dharma, but craving the happiness and wealth of this life, this is inverted craving. Not tasting the taste of hearing, thinking, and meditating, but tasting the taste of worldly enjoyment, this is inverted tasting. Not having compassion for doing evil, but cultivating compassion for doing asceticism for the sake of Dharma, this is inverted compassion. Not applying it to the ways of dealing with people related to oneself, but applying it to the pursuit of fame in this life, this is inverted management of the mind. Not cultivating joy in the happiness and virtue of samsara and nirvana, but cultivating joy in the unhappiness of others and the suffering of enemies, this is inverted rejoicing. This sixth inversion must be abandoned in every way! Do not be intermittent! That is to say, sometimes doing it and sometimes not doing it is because one has not developed certainty in the Dharma. Do not be distracted, but cultivate the mind with single-pointedness. Practice thoroughly! That is to say, do not be unrelated in a distracted state, but completely devote the mind to practice, and practice with single-mindedness. Liberate through the two, observation and analysis! That is to say, one must constantly liberate oneself from afflictions and self-grasping through the two, observation and analysis. That is, one should keep in mind the object that gives rise to afflictions in one's own mind, and observe whether it arises strongly. If it arises, then rely strongly on the antidote. Also, observe how self-cherishing exists. If it seems not to exist, then rely on an object of attachment and aversion to observe. If self-cherishing arises at that time, then immediately abandon it with the antidote of exchanging self and others. Do not complain! That is to say, even if others have kindness to oneself, do not complain excessively, but value
