To transform into the path of non-ignorance, taking refuge is: The nature of mind is inherently luminous, it is the essence of the Tathagatagarbha. The proximate cause of sentient beings is, the complete abandonment of ends and endlessness. Just as the color of gold after being polished, and the Sal tree and staff appear. Likewise, in the aggregates there are no sentient beings, no person, and no aggregates. The Buddha's uncontaminated wisdom, constantly and peacefully meditated upon, I take refuge in that. Generating Bodhicitta is: The nature of mind is inherently luminous, along with afflictions such as the mind, and together with the self, is what the supreme speaker has revealed. In order to eliminate it, cultivate the supreme path. These words should be spoken while remembering their meaning. Secondly, in accordance with the intermediate turning of the wheel, abiding in non-conceptual, free from elaboration, and reciting the profound Dharma nature: On a comfortable cushion, arrange the body posture properly. Cultivate devoted faith. If the view has been determined previously through hearing and thinking, then remember that view and abide in it. If there is no proper hearing and thinking, then determine that this own mind has no essence, and ascertain that all external appearances are nothing other than appearances of one's own mind, thereby determining the selflessness of phenomena. Moreover, mind and appearance are not different, just as waves and water are not different. Generate the understanding of the equality of grasping and the grasped. Do not be distracted outwards, do not be constricted inwards, do not cling to the middle. Without falling into non-attention and equanimity, remain open like the sky. If it moves without stopping, then whatever appearance of the six consciousnesses arises is emptiness, so without doing anything to accept, reject, hope, fear, negate, or affirm, cultivate it in self-pacification and self-liberation. In this way, the signs of mind abiding will gradually arise. Then, as it appears in the guiding texts, search for the mind, thereby generating a definitive understanding that the nature is primordially free from elaboration. Apart from recognizing that reality free from elaboration, there is nothing else to meditate on, so rely on inseparable mindfulness. That is, as it is said, maintain the uncorrected natural state, and whatever appears is the original state. Therefore, no matter how the mind manifests as luminosity, emptiness, non-attachment, abiding, movement, joy, or sorrow, maintain it without fabrication, rather than binding it with the effort of abandoning and counteracting, but placing the unconditioned awareness in non-meditation, this is the great vehicle of Shamatha-Vipassana.
