It possesses immeasurable merit. Those noble sons who desire the sacred Dharma, even if they have committed countless sinful deeds, will be purified by mere headaches, plagues, and stings. It is also said that if someone believes that the Tathagata possesses a permanent Dharma nature, then that person is as rare as the Udumbara flower. After my Nirvana, if someone hears this profound Mahayana sutra and generates faith, know that this person will not fall into the lower realms for hundreds of thousands of kalpas in the future. It is also said that if noble sons or noble daughters strive to recognize that "the Tathagata is permanent, the sacred Dharma will not decline, and the Sangha will not disappear," then these people should also be regarded as being in the state of Buddhahood, just like me. It is also said that just as darkness disappears when the sun rises, merely hearing this Essence Sutra will quickly purify the sins of breaking fundamental vows and the five heinous crimes. Whether competing with others, being instigated by others, or even for the sake of gaining fame and offerings, even if one has not generated the thought "I do not need Bodhi," merely hearing this Essence Sutra will fill every pore of their body with the seeds of Bodhi, like the sunlight in summer. If one has generated the mind of Bodhi in the presence of Buddhas as numerous as the sands of one Ganges River in the past, then in the degenerate age, one will not slander this Dharma and will generate faith. If one has generated the mind of Bodhi in the presence of Buddhas as numerous as the sands of eight Ganges Rivers, then in the degenerate age, one will uphold, recite, and read this sutra, and will also transcribe scriptures for others, encourage them to uphold and recite it, and will also be able to explain its meaning. And so on, it is widely proclaimed. In short, Omniscient Dolpopa said: Merely hearing the name of the Tathagatagarbha will lead to Buddhahood, what need is there to mention those who have faith and reverence, and manifest and practice it? Therefore, those who possess wisdom and compassion should teach this Dharma even if they have to give up their own lives. Those who seek liberation should seek and listen to this Dharma even if they have to be rescued from a great burning pit.

May the actions themselves be cherished as the essence of the heart. The lineage is as follows: Like the prayer of the Shentong lineage up to the Omniscient Protector Drolwai Gonpo. From Jetsun to Gyaltsab Narthangpa, Lodro Namgyal, Ngawang Trinley, Kunzang Wangpo, Tsewang Norbu, Tenpai Nyinje, Dudul Dorje, Jamyang Gon Zogpai Sangye, from Padma Nyinje Wangpo, from the Thirteenth Lord's deity guidance text, the good stream of blessings and the ripening liberation of the Wheel of Time were bestowed, and there are other pure ways of transmission. The profound view is of the scriptures, Though the definitive meaning is, few realize it. Because Regent Jampa is without error, Please teach and study the Great Vehicle's Treatise on the Sublime Continuum. Diamond Yoga is the ultimate of practice, Though it is ultimate, few meditate on it. Because you have faith in the King of Tantras, Do not let saliva drip for the inferior. Kunzang's conduct has few obstacles, Though the ground is vast, it is difficult to be virtuous. Establish the biographies of the predecessors as witnesses, And restrain yourself well with the vows of individual liberation and the bodhisattva. If view, meditation, and conduct are pure, Then both one's own and others' benefit will be quickly accomplished. This is not A self-creation of wanting to be wise. It is the essence of the intention of the scriptures and treatises. By this virtue, may I and all sentient beings, Abandon the five great evils, Obtain the five great qualities, And realize the ultimate Dharmadhatu! This was written at the great monastery of Pel Zamthang by the lazy monk Yonten Gyatso, who gained faith after understanding the empty basis, the Tathagatagarbha, according to the wishes of the two learned and accomplished holders of the doctrine of the glorious Jonangpa, named Ngawang, may I have the opportunity to hear, contemplate, and meditate on the teachings of the essential meaning in all lifetimes! The view guidance of the Great Madhyamaka of Other-Emptiness, the stainless rays of the Vajra Moon.
