May peace prevail! For all of these, the vase breathing should be done. Furthermore, according to the "Drop Essence Wish-Fulfilling Jewel": Meditate that from the haṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) of the Great Bliss Wheel, cool white bindus descend, and illnesses are dispelled. Exhale the breath with a "sang sang" sound, and then draw it back in. For cold disorders, visualize the raṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,汉语字面意思:Ram) in the emanation wheel at the navel. Imagine that fire blazes from it, burning away the illness. Seal the mouth and draw the breath inward. For phlegm disorders, it is similar, but especially, visualize that nectar descends from the trāṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:त्रां,梵文罗马拟音:trāṃ,汉语字面意思:Tram) of the Enjoyment Wheel, and illnesses are dispelled. Exhale three times, each time with a "sum sum" sound, and then draw in one breath each time. If the mind is wild and agitated, from the haṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) of the Bliss-Protecting Wheel, hold the mind and breath on the blazing bliss-warmth. If, during meditation, samadhi does not arise no matter what you do, visualize that the essence of the crown of the head descends from the hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हूं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) of the Dharma Wheel, and then draw the breath inward. All illnesses will be pacified, and samadhi will arise naturally. These are the essential key points. At this time, also recite these letters, and it is a method to utter many ha, hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हूं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum), and a. Thus it is said. Second, the main part, establishing the mind and awareness, revealing the essential instructions on the meaning of the luminous heart essence, has two parts: the instructions on cutting through, the key to establishing the mind; and the instructions on the leap over path, the key to establishing awareness. The first is from the key to integrating view and meditation, the "Eye Opener": By the instruction of conduct without grasping, appearance is subdued. By the instruction of meditation without fixation, the mind that remembers is subdued. By the instruction of view without clinging, the basis of attachment, the afflictions, are subdued. By the instruction of the fruition without abandonment or attainment, awareness is shown to be irreversible. Thus it is said. These are also divided into two each: the general characteristic of phenomena, which is the general Great Perfection; and the specific characteristic of the nature of phenomena, which is the teaching of the most secret bindu essence. Each of these is shown through four aspects: by what, what, how, and what is attained. These must be gradually realized from the four lamps, such as the "Lamp of Summarizing Conduct." Here, only a general overview is given, divided into four: conduct, meditation, view, and fruition. First, the instruction of conduct without grasping has three parts: The conduct of a beginner is: all non-virtuous actions

and abandon, increasing all merits. The yogi must also understand what to accept and reject, go to the venerable guru, and through hearing, know what is Dharma and what is not. Listen to the complete and profound instructions, cut off the additions and subtractions of words, and through thinking, grasp the essence of its meaning without error, and learn the method of turning the mind away from samsara. The practice of emphasizing the essence is to then go to an unfamiliar place, and like a beggar or wild animal, practice the guru's instructions alone, being content with meager food and clothing. Do not regard the instructions of others as marvelous, but trust in your own oral instructions. Completely abandon all actions, efforts, and practices, along with the attachments of this life, and be patient. First, through the practice of distinguishing between samsara and nirvana, transform the attachment of body, speech, and mind. Then, without associating with anyone, practice like a mute, refraining from speech and making no gestures, and like a young child, relax the six consciousnesses.
