It is necessary. Do not speak of others' faults. For whichever affliction is the greatest, gather all the Dharma as an antidote. Abandon selfish desires. Abandon clinging to truth. Abandon resentment. Abandon harsh words. Abandon retaliation. Do not expose others' secrets. Do not perform incantations of killing mantras, etc., on non-humans. Abandon transferring the heavy responsibilities, evil deeds, and deceptions that fall upon you to others. Abandon wanting good things. If the mind becomes rigid after practicing mind training, it is like sending a ransom to the west gate when a demon brings harm from the east gate. Administer medicine according to the illness. If a relative dies, food and wealth will come. If a patron falls ill or dies, merit will be accumulated. If someone equal to you dies, thinking that only you have merit, and if an enemy dies, thinking that you are satisfied, abandon such thoughts. Instructions on food and clothing. All yogic practices should be done with the sole intention of benefiting others. All evil suppression should be practiced with giving and taking. From beginning to end, in the morning, maintain mindfulness and awareness with the thought, "Today, I will not be separated from Bodhicitta." In the evening, if you have acted contrary to Bodhicitta, count your beads. Both should be endured, without being arrogant due to prosperity and enjoyment, and without being discouraged by extreme decline. Protect the general vows of the Dharma and the vows of mind training more dearly than life. Three difficulties: Afflictions are difficult to remember, difficult to restrain, and difficult to cut off, so strive to prevent them from arising. The main cause is meeting a good lama. Make your own mind obedient. Cultivate joy in the three ways of practicing the Dharma properly. Also, pray that others may possess these. Three non-degenerations: Non-degeneration of devotion to the lama. Non-degeneration of joy in practicing mind training. Not abandoning even the smallest instructions. Three non-separations: Body, speech, and mind not separated from virtue. No partiality towards any place. All of it should be cultivated from the depths of the heart, not just mere words. For things that the heart dislikes due to karma, especially transform them into the path of Bodhicitta. The main practice is: Now in this lifetime, Dharma is more important than this life. In Dharma, practice is more important. In practice, mind training is more important. In mind training, it is more important to practice diligently based on pith instructions than to practice through doctrine and logic. Six inversions: Unable to endure the suffering of practicing Dharma, but able to endure the suffering of conquering enemies and helping relatives, this is inverted patience. Not wanting to practice Dharma, but wanting to pursue the desires of this life, this is inverted desire. To the Dharma

Experiencing the taste of the world without experiencing the taste of a corpse is a perversion of taste experience. Not cultivating compassion while doing evil, but cultivating compassion while doing asceticism for the sake of Dharma is a perversion of compassion. Not relying on Dharma for oneself, but striving for prominence in this life is a perversion of close-mindedness. Not rejoicing in virtue, but rejoicing when enemies suffer is a perversion of rejoicing. Therefore, for the sake of mind training itself, one should abandon worries and train. Observe which is stronger, conceptualization or affliction, and then abandon it with an antidote. Do not say that others have been kind to you, and do not say that you have done Buddhist activities. Do not respond to others' belittling of yourself. Do not show joy or anger over trivial matters. Do not expect verbal gratitude for giving great help. In this way, one should gain confidence in mastering bodhicitta through both common and subsequent means throughout one's life. In general, the mind is confused, and the mind that is moved by the appearance of joy and sorrow, the supreme path of liberation from bondage, appears on the path of clear letters. This is excerpted from the "Prince's Manual". (3) Instructions on the Essence of Dependent Arising. The instructions on the Essence of Dependent Arising are: with refuge and bodhicitta as a prerequisite, one's own special preliminary practice. On the lotus and moon cushion on the crown of one's head, visualize one's guru as Avalokiteśvara, and in front of him, clearly visualize one's root mother. Think of the kindness of her being born from the group and eventually being raised to adulthood. Generate intense love and compassion, and repeatedly recite "My mother" with your mouth. Visualize when your hair stands on end and tears well up. If this is not the case, the body should be in a compassionate posture, with knees close to the chest, head lowered, face contracted, hands supporting the cheeks, and index finger in the mouth. With a sorrowful bodily posture, intensely cultivate compassion. Pray, "Father Guru, please guide my kind mother to the path of liberation right now." Like the way Ramda calls out, pray in a loud voice, grasping the key points of practice. Transform the object of visualization into all the parents of the six realms, and then visualize. Gods die and transfer, Asuras fight, humans experience birth, old age, sickness, and death, animals are killed and enslaved, pretas suffer hunger and thirst, and hell beings suffer from heat and cold.
