Even if you stay where you are, it's okay, but it's because you haven't stayed where your heart is placed. That woman, if her mind is turned to Dharma, even dying is easy, but it's because your mind hasn't turned to Dharma. That woman, if she realizes that her own mind is immortal, then there is no death, but it's because you haven't realized that the mind is immortal. At the moment of hearing these four answers, a special realization arose in the translator's mind. The two red-clothed women also appeared as Vajravarahi and Arya Tara. This oral transmission teaching was later regarded as precious by all virtuous friends. Afterwards, Gyalse Chojeongpa requested Chöje Paldan Lama Dampa, saying, "Please grant me an instruction that is beneficial to the mind, like the essence of your heart." It is said that he bestowed this teaching, and also wrote down the instructions at that time. It is said that when Sakya's Gongga Lama went to the mainland, Gyalse Rinpoche went to Lhasa to see him off. At that time, Gyalsepa, with the Khenpo as the head, commonly taught this teaching to the virtuous friends of the Ü-Tsang region in the courtyard of Lhasa. This is also recorded in the biography of Gyalsepa. Regarding Chöd, there are some phrases that came from India, which seem to be verses written by the Brahmin Aryadeva. However, they are not included in the Tengyur of Ü-Tsang. In Tibet, the Chöd of Self-Liberated Ama Jomo (Rangdrol Ama Jomo) has been widely developed. It is said that a virtuous friend went to visit Rinchen Gangpa Shakya Shenyen, who was staying in a four-pillared room, and the room was filled with books with face covers all around. The person asked, "What are these books?" He said, "They are all about Machig Labdrön's Chöd." The person was surprised and asked, "Is there so much Chöd?" He said, "If all the Chöd teachings were put together, a valley would not be able to contain them." Among so many different kinds of Chöd teachings, this one written by Lama Gyaltangpa Samten Özer is divided into eight parts, with the beginning and end connected. It is filled with new instructions and great confidence, which were not found in previous Chöd teachings, and were personally bestowed by the wisdom dakini Ama Labdrön herself.

The instruction on the meaning. The name that truly fits, the wish-fulfilling jewel, is also unsurpassed in cutting through the realms of the four maras. This is the key to nakedly revealing the nature of reality, showing the state of direct seeing, and it is also the term for my father's teachings. The three essential points are: In the past, in Khro-phu, a person named Devotee had a dream in which he was told, "Every day, clean and tidy this house. Tomorrow, Avalokiteshvara will come to borrow a place to stay." He cleaned and swept every day, making the house clean. When others asked him why he was doing this, he said, "I had a prophecy in my dream, so I am doing it." But people did not believe him and laughed at him. Later, the great accomplished Mitra Joki was invited to Khro-phu, and his fame spread widely. Thousands of virtuous friends holding umbrellas gathered from all directions, but because there were too many people, the houses could not accommodate them all, so some had to stand, and some had to sit in the open space. The great accomplished one saw this and gave his own dwelling places to them. The great accomplished one himself knocked on the door of the devotee's house empty-handed and said, "Acarya (teacher) wants to borrow a place to stay." He remembered his previous dream, which coincided with the present situation, and he became certain that the one who came was the real Avalokiteshvara. He immediately offered all his fields and possessions and said, "I am old and cannot understand the vast Dharma, so please give me a concise instruction." The great accomplished one considered him to be a worthy vessel, and the translator of Khro-phu translated the fourteen verses of rest given by the Lord Khasarpani to the great accomplished one: "Having great compassion in front, without distraction from it, constantly look at it, by the union of gods and goddesses, the practitioner finds rest." The meaning of this was spoken as the essence of the key point of taking this life, death, and bardo as the path. It is said that wise ones such as Yakrong Choskyi Gyaltsen also used this as their own practice and propagated it by guiding others. Mind itself, resting, as just said, the great accomplished Mitra himself actually showed the form of the Lord Khasarpani, one cubit high, on the mandala in front of him, and spoke the words of rest.
