Therefore, the mind of (the Lama) was completely satisfied, reaching the ultimate degree. Related to the stages of a Bodhisattva, are the eighteen Dharma practices of taking the path into life: Adverse circumstances are virtuous friends, Demons and evil spirits are emanations of the Victorious Ones. Sickness is the whip of purification of sins, Suffering is the cradle of the nature of reality. These are the words of great secrecy. Having realized the key teachings that narrow the minds of the Lesser Vehicle, (the disciples), incomparable to any other Lama, would shed tears whenever they remembered the silver stupa, and upon reciting or hearing (the Lama's) name, they would join their palms on their heads. It is said that, through the power of devotion and the unbroken stream of grief, starting from Dromtonpa and his three spiritual brothers, Sharawa, and Chakawa, up to the presence of Bodhisattva Sonam Drakpa, they were treated in the same way as Gyalse Rinpoche. In the regions of U and Tsang, even a trace of such methods of imparting mind-training teachings cannot be found. In the north, the three types of Lamas, great, medium, and small, find psychological comfort in merely pretending to impart a few words from the collected works of the great Bodhisattva Jowo Shonnu Gyalchok. Within this, regarding the words of Gyalsepa and the notes of Drogön Palye, specifically the part about "Examining the nature of unborn awareness," they offer refutations and record the view and practice of Je Tsongkhapa as it is. Those who consider themselves wise either have not seen it or, for some reason, have not trusted it. In situations where it is difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood, please examine and correct it using two examples, that is all. My Khenpo, the Blessed One, Jampelyang, often praised the teaching methods of the Four Houses of Horpa, which I have seen and heard. Khen Rinpoche himself said that he had not heard of this teaching method and expressed great regret, which is certain. Thus, from the depths of my heart and bones, I firmly believe that this path is the main cause for attaining Buddhahood, and there is nothing higher than this. Furthermore, there is the Essence of Interdependence teaching yoga practice that comes from the same lineage, and the blessings that descended through Nyemo Gyagom, who averted the leprosy face of Döng Rintse. As soon as the wise Sonam Ten heard this teaching, he immediately developed the practice of abandoning this life.

A victory banner was erected, and after the passing of the venerable one, the root words of the instructions are: First, cultivate loving-kindness. Inquire whether it has arisen or not. If it has arisen, cultivate compassion. Exchange self and others and generate bodhicitta. From the state of the mountain of wisdom, keep meditation and so forth in a state of expansion, contraction, and quiescence. It is said that this is the very Bebu Bum. Taking happiness and suffering as the path: Along with the attendants of the great Kashmiri Paṇḍita, the lesser Paṇḍitas, and the nine venerable ones, as well as many other categories of Indian bhikṣuṇīs and the sick, they were carried in palanquins for about half a month from the Beryl Market to the end of Pagri (Paro, Bhutan). When they were invited, the Krophu translators and disciples especially took on the burden of purification. At that time, the words of Paṇḍita Śākyaśrī were: In happiness, dedicate the bliss to the assembly. May benefit and happiness fill the sky. In suffering, take on the suffering of all. May the ocean of suffering dry up. Thus, this instruction introduces happiness and suffering as the three kāyas. This Dharma, the scholars and siddhas of the snowy land in general, and especially all those who have become abbots of the four great monastic communities, have upheld, maintained, and fully understood it. They give instructions to those who have become great, and give Dharma talks to the assembled sangha, etc. It seems that the lineage of what appears to be idle talk has not declined, and it appears here. The key instructions established as the special characteristic of Sumpa Lotsāwa Dharmayon are: Before Sumpa Lotsāwa returned to Tibet from India, the intention to go to Kham arose. What to do if he died, what to do, as the tasks were completed and the days and nights passed. His own guru, the Paṇḍita, performed empowerments, blessings, healing, visualizations, etc., with golden vases, but when none of the beneficial actions worked, because there was still some leftover provisions and a little gold, he searched for flowers and other offerings. He went to offer them to the Great Bodhi Stūpa of Vajrasana. In the sky of the clean room there, there were two red women. The blue woman in front prostrated three times to the red woman and said: Today my mind is not comfortable, and my mind cannot stay where it is placed. It would be better if I did not die, but death itself is frightening. She asked four questions in this way, and it appeared. The red woman looked nakedly at the translator and said: If that woman is content with whatever happens, she will be happy. Because your mind is not content with whatever happens, that is the reason. That woman said: The mind is placed.
