And, the chapter of translation. The first part is: In Indian language, it is "Svachitta" etc. When translated into Tibetan, it is called "The Secret of Resting One's Own Mind, Twenty-Five Verses." The meaning is: One's own mind, the wisdom that is born together, is inherently pure from the beginning, but because this is not realized, relying on the otherness of grasping and being grasped, one is exhausted for a long time in the ocean of samsara. This treatise is to rest it in the original Great Seal Jewel Island. This is a secret instruction that easily shows the great meaning that is difficult to measure with short words. The length of this treatise is twenty-five verses, hence the name. The second part is: Homage to glorious Vajrasattva! This is easy to understand. The second part, regarding the meaning of the treatise, there are two points: one is to introduce the fundamental nature, and the other is to transform discursive thoughts into the path. The first part has two points: the general meaning and the branch meaning. The first part is: In general, the way to practice and introduce the profound instructions is condensed into essence, the great translator himself said this: To introduce this meaning, first there are three parts: preliminary, main practice, and subsequent practice. In the first three parts: the common preliminary is mind training, including the seven-branch offering, etc.; the uncommon preliminary is through blessings, including the practice of Vajrasattva's hundred-syllable mantra, etc.; the special preliminary is to control the stream of knowledge, which is to pray with the fifty letters. The second part, the main practice: the body mudra is to sit in a quiet place, on a comfortable seat, possessing the limbs of meditation. The speech mudra is to maintain the flow of breath. The mind mudra, first is to relax, in the middle is to remain alert, and finally is to completely let go. First, relaxing has three aspects: the merit of relaxing, the fault of not relaxing, and how to relax. The merit of relaxing is that the way the mind's nature exists is unconditioned, so if you relax, by relaxing, it is necessary to realize how the way of existence is. The fault of not relaxing is the opposite of this, that is, because of one's own efforts not relaxing, the appearance of reversal proliferates, so that one cannot be autonomous and falls into samsara.
