Furthermore, those who have realized selflessness, in order to benefit sentient beings, demonstrate magnificent conduct, as well as conduct that cuts off misconceptions on the path. In any case, the distinctions in conduct are: although possessing great power, yet without afflictions in the mind, like the mask of a wrathful deity; conduct without attachment, like a fish swimming in water; afflictions leaving no trace, like wind passing through mountain ridges. By practicing in this way, the obstacles of power are subdued, and without desire, it is the perfection of wisdom. It is said: The Compendium states: "At that time, the demons will be full of thorns, afflicted with misery, suffering, unhappy, and dispirited. How can this Bodhisattva disturb our minds? To show fear, they burn the directions and throw meteors. When those wise ones are mindful and contemplate day and night the supreme meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom, then their body and mind roam like birds of the dakinis. How can the forces of darkness find a flaw?" By conduct becoming vast, showing that all are helpers, that is, the eleven verses beginning with "oneself." As explained above, those practices that have become the meaning of selflessness must be practiced spontaneously, without pride and obstacles, and not with grasping and fixation. Furthermore, examining with grasping is no different from delusion. Although suffering is experienced in a dream, it is one's own delusion, and gods and so on are also seen as one's own obsession. Therefore, since all good and bad are grasped by oneself, one's own appearances harm oneself, because grasping and fixation are regarded as myrobalan fruit. If one realizes that it is without truth, then the appearance of objects cannot harm, just as an Indian poisonous snake does not harm Tibetans. Fifth, regarding the result, there are two aspects: realizing the meaning, there is no need to achieve the result, that is, the nine verses beginning with "result." That is, seeing selflessness manifest, and pride being liberated in its own place, there is no need to achieve Buddhahood other than that, because one realizes that phenomena are the wisdom of self-originated nature. Thus it is said: Mind is not mind; the nature of mind is clear light.

Thus it is said, 'No-mind is that which is without change, without discrimination.' As the Noble One said, the mind is without truth, its nature is luminosity. By realizing this, one becomes a Buddha. Other than that which is devoid of grasping and being grasped, there is no other Buddha to be accomplished. For example, for a person who has already seen good ghee, when one says 'ghee,' there is no need to add white and other qualities later; it is established in the mind. For a person who has directly realized the two aspects of selflessness, there is no need to seek body, wisdom, activities, and enlightened activity from elsewhere. That I am certain to become a Buddha is the four lines beginning with 'cessation of pride.' By realizing this, as explained above, one overcomes the four maras and the eighty-four thousand afflictions, and becomes peaceful. Thus it was taught, and up to this point, the practice of the path of seeing, along with its enhancement, has been explained. The third general meaning, that which is without examples, has five aspects: the delusion of awareness, ignorance is wisdom, non- -action is the ground, non-action is the path, and non-accomplishment is the result. The first has two aspects: the delusion of nature, which is the two lines beginning with 'ignorance.' That is, the suchness of phenomena, which has not been established as an object of grasping, is regarded as various things such as knowable and knowing by a mind that is fixed on mere appearance, and becomes grasping and being grasped, which is delusion. The delusion in relation to philosophical tenets is the twenty-two lines beginning with 'in one without distinction.' Although there is no difference in the meaning of selflessness, Buddhas and sentient beings arise depending on knowledge and ignorance. That is, the delusion of grasping and being grasped, ignorance, is like water, gold, and space. Co-emergent ignorance causes the delusion of sentient beings. That is, it arises from not realizing that very nature oneself. Outsiders who have inverted views, from immeasurable wrong views, in short, are nihilists. They also do not have cause and effect in the past and future, and also grasp that there is no future life, which is also delusion. Views such as the self is permanent, one, independent, unchanging, etc. are also delusions. The Hearers consider the atom to be the object of grasping, and the momentary indivisible to be ultimately true. The Solitary Realizers do not have grasping, but say that grasping is ultimately true.
