In the place where it arises, and, there is not even a dust of accomplishment to go to. Having been liberated, one will not change and become a Buddha. Having been deluded, it is impossible to wander in samsara. All virtuous and non-virtuous actions are completely pure. Primordially pure, primordially liberated, primordially enlightened. Not fearing sin is a wrong path. Clinging to the extreme of accomplishment is an obscuration. Non-duality and self-liberation is the true nature. From the nature of reality, take refuge, and, generate bodhicitta and make supplications. When obstacles arise for oneself, go to a dangerous place and meditate on non-duality. When benefiting other sentient beings, with compassion as the guide, know that oneself, the sick person, the demons, and the illness, are all empty. Make prostrations and practice emptiness. Lie down with your head facing a certain direction. Even if that does not bring peace, in a dangerous place, take refuge and generate bodhicitta. Recite three times and meditate on freedom from extremes. With a mandala, with a branch and, bless and scatter with dirt clods. The gods above are bound by oath, the nagas below are subdued by power. Whatever is entrusted to the nagas will be accomplished. The gods will help from their own places. All the nagas will be enslaved. The lamas, yidams, dakinis, and, dharma protectors will care for you like a son. By severing the demons with obstacles, appearances will not rise as enemies. By severing the demons without obstacles, male and female yakshas are bound by oath. It is said that countless branches such as these will arise. The Great Chapter of the Quintessential Instructions on the Perfection of Wisdom, composed by the Brahmin Arya Deva, is complete. Translated from the self-sounding words by the noble and precious Indian Pandit, and corrected and finalized by the translator Shawama in the presence of the Dingri Khenpo. The Great Collection of Profound Instructions on the Severance Practice of the Perfection of Wisdom is complete. Not abiding in the state of non-speaking, non-thinking, and non-thinkable, I prostrate to the sphere beyond objects and without focus. This Great Collection of Severance Instructions, intending to benefit some, is written down. The root of demons is one's own mind, for whatever awareness arises as an object, being attached and clinging to it, one is seized by demons, being deceived by grasping the mind as an object. Demons are divided into four types: demons that rely on external objects (Thogs bcas), and demons that rely on internal conceptual thoughts (Thogs med). Demons that rely on the manifestation or non-manifestation of qualities (Dga' brod),

The Māra of dualistic conceptualization, which is both slow and balanced. It is also included in the Māra of slowness. Although there are many Māras with obstacles, those that appear to the senses are the Māras with obstacles, which are bound to samsara by grasping them as real through analysis of negation and affirmation. Form is empty of its own nature. Do not cling to form, meditate on emptiness. Because you do not cling to form, you are liberated from the Māra of grasping at permanence. Because you do not meditate on emptiness in your mind, you are liberated from the Māra of annihilation. The appearance of form cannot be rejected, but if you do not grasp it as real, it is self-appearing light. Sound, smell, taste, touch, mind, and so on, are also liberated in the same way. The mind is the Māra without obstacles, but because it arises from the gates of the senses, it is shown as the Māra with obstacles. All phenomena that appear to the senses are directly cut off by the view of self-liberation, and transformed into great, undifferentiated ignorance. The way in which the Māra without obstacles arises is that the good and bad that arise in the mind are divided by one's own conceptualization, and are shown as the Māra without obstacles. Apart from the self-born mind, grasping at good gods as gods, grasping at evil spirits as spirits, and the wavering of the mind's hopes and fears are one's own Māra that one experiences. In the vast, clear space of the Dharmadhatu, whatever memories and concepts arise. For example, from the unwavering ocean, waves and so on arise. In this way, the realized person does not need to create or manipulate, but leaves it in its own place. Neither benefit nor harm arises, and it is liberated in the Dharmadhatu. From the Dharmata Dharmadhatu, self-arising, one should not hate or analyze. Without analyzing, the self-born mind. The way in which the Māra of joy and elation arises is from the common Māra and the supreme Māra, which arise from the mind of confused lineage. Because the evil spirits cannot penetrate the fierce places, the arising of arrogance is the Māra of joy and elation. Because the signs of blessing and power arise, it is the Māra of being distracted by merit, wealth, and possessions. It is the Māra of rejoicing in profit, fame, enemies, and friends. The gods and demons give accomplishments, and the joy and elation in the gathering of children, friends, and retinue is the Māra of joy and elation. Whatever qualities arise, with the wisdom that does not grasp at objects and mind as two, do not grasp at qualities as real, but practice without grasping at self-nature, like the objects of a dream. Like a beautiful girl adorning herself with her own beauty, self-arising is self-adornment. To that, arro
