The edge is equal to the sky, let go with ease. In this state, chasing thoughts from the level of consciousness is to settle with "Shi (ཤིགས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्यज्, Sanskrit Romanization: tyaj, Chinese literal meaning: Abandon)". In this way, entering the wind channel of Mahamudra, thereby nakedly realizing the meaning of the original essence. These are practicing in equanimity. Now, practicing in the post-meditation state, from the three aspects of base, path, and fruit, the sharpness of the base lies in that, at all times and places, awareness has sharpness, radiance, and makes it closely connected. The sharpness of the path lies in that, whether walking, staying, sitting, or sleeping, do not lose the sharpness of awareness. Awareness sways and stirs, like a banner moved by the wind. The sharpness of the blessing and compassion of the fruit lies in that, the sharpness of focus is like a sharp weapon, no matter what it is directed at, whether it is disease, demons, afflictions, or conceptual thoughts, everything is liberated in its own nature, and the nature is free from elaboration and clearly appears, thereby transforming the realm into the path and becoming an aid. The fourth is abiding in the original position, and the fifth is repetition, two by two as a group, there are four dharmas in common. First, entering the essence lies in that, the essence is very important in equanimity, if there is no essence, even if it is broken, the traces are not obvious. If awareness has no essence, then it is tamed by practice, and even if there is essence, it is necessary to practice to improve the experience. Thus, taming the wild mind of essence and practice is like pulling the bowstring full and releasing it, or tightening and then loosening it. Secondly, breaking at the "Shi (ཤིགས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्यज्, Sanskrit Romanization: tyaj, Chinese literal meaning: Abandon)" place lies in that, with essence and practice, to deal with the burning state, break with "Shi (ཤིགས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्यज्, Sanskrit Romanization: tyaj, Chinese literal meaning: Abandon)". If there is attachment to equanimity, then it will be bound by the meditation experience, and the true nature cannot be seen. Therefore, break the fabrication of the body, like a magic wheel; break the fabrication of speech, break with "Phat (ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat)"; relax and loosen the fabrication of the mind, break with "Shi (ཤིགས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्यज्, Sanskrit Romanization: tyaj, Chinese literal meaning: Abandon)", and abide in non-conceptual and without support. Third, recognizing lies in that, after breaking the antidote, recognize its traces. Use this to recognize all the traces of essence and practice. That is, after breaking the antidote of meditation, consciousness, and samadhi with "Shi (ཤིགས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्यज्, Sanskrit Romanization: tyaj, Chinese literal meaning: Abandon)", the past consciousness has ceased, the future consciousness has not arisen, the present awareness is clear, relaxed, and naked, this is the true nature. This is the essence of awareness, the nature of clarity, the characteristic of non-conceptuality, naked, abiding in nakedness, the movement has stopped, there is no thought, the unconditioned awareness.

Like the expanse of the sky. Recognizing that which is without meditation, free from the movement of mind. In general, at this time, one needs to recognize three things: impurity, aspect, and root. Impurity is: the mind of sentient beings with evil thoughts, which is cut off by diligent practice, clinging to whatever thoughts arise. Aspect is: having thus clung and diligently practiced, being attached to the experience of good thoughts and unable to let go, therefore, demolish it with the antidote instruction of "PHAṬ" (藏文, Devanagari, phaṭ, meaning "cut"), and place it in a state of non-thought. Root is: whatever view, meditation, and experience there may be, place the naked awareness in a state of unreliance with "PHAṬ" (藏文, Devanagari, phaṭ, meaning "cut"). By this, one recognizes the root, nature, or suchness. The fourth is repetition, introducing it here with the essence of the previously shown sky-path. Also, there are three types of repetition. The repetition of demolition is: the repetition of experience, demolishing all thoughts of experience and abiding. The repetition with the key is: the sky-path, introducing it here. The repetition with thoughts is: like the meaning of the root, from understanding to non-understanding, there is no place to attain Buddhahood upwards, and no place to fall into samsara downwards. Demolish the term of a Dharma that is deliberately made in the mind. Demolish concepts. Demolish memory. Sever the root, overturn the antidote. Exhaust the mind, exhaust the Dharma, without root because it is free from the elaboration of the ground. Without meditation because the root is free from an object. In reality, without experience because it is free from aspect. Without subsequent attainment because it is infallibly liberated in its own place. Incoherent, incomprehensible, without thought. Realizing it in dependent origination. When introducing it thus, instruct as follows: Do not introduce subsequent attainment before stabilizing in meditative equipoise. Do not apply it to the path before mastering the skill. Do not separate from the lama before entering the session. Do not cut off the guidance before recognizing it. Do not repeat it before generating a measure of realization. Do not show the letters before perfecting the experience. When guiding, do not explain the scriptures. Do not bestow the measure of Dharma to one who is not a teacher. Thus it is said. All of the above is the completion of the introduction with the sixteen hand-instructions based on the meaning lineage. Second, based on the lineage of words, there are five meanings for cutting off the imputations with the sixteen key points: taking the mind into the path with the mind-generation path, establishing the foundation with emptiness meditation, grasping the essential points with the meaning of scattering, establishing certainty with touching the key points, and repeating it in the two, the ultimate and the extensive.
