Having placed these in front, with the mandala as a preliminary, straighten the key points of the body, without changing the posture, allow the breath and awareness to relax naturally. The lama, endowed with the power of samadhi, transforms the twenty symbols of the four root conducts (five branches for each conduct): vajra posture, half posture, squatting, kneading method, the posture of sitting like a king playing, these are the five sitting postures. Lying on the right side, lying on the left side, lying on the back, lying face down, lying with the head curled up, these are the five lying postures. Standing up, half standing up, standing, putting on clothes, working, these are the five standing postures. Walking, resting while walking, running, resting while running, resting and relaxing, these are the five walking postures. By transforming these twenty symbols in this way, those with good fortune will have wisdom arise and attain realization. Second, the five symbols of sitting are introduced to samadhi. Outward absorption is: observing whatever appears to the objects of the five senses, cutting off the awareness of the three times, and placing the awareness in a clear and bright state. Inward absorption is: whatever coarse or subtle thoughts arise, gather them completely, grasp them tightly, and place them in a naked and bare state, maintaining clarity and brightness. Maintaining as it is: when the awareness is slightly tired, relax the body, exhale, relax the awareness, and place it in a state free from grasping and clinging. Having practiced these three samadhis in this way, if the effect is small, shake the body, and apply the two whips of reciting Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) and Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ), breaking the clarity, so that the outer environment appears as emptiness, and the mind itself appears as clear emptiness, and thus the experience of emptiness, clarity, and bliss arises. Combining the five symbols of lying with meditative sleep: at night, with the intention of awakening in dreams, focus the mind on the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) and then fall asleep, so that sleep appears as luminosity and dreams appear as illusion. Combining the five symbols of walking with post-meditation, that is, harmonizing the tastes with the five symbols of standing. Among these three, the symbol that is not touched by conceptual thought is: because the experience of samadhi may still be conceptual thought, break it, naturally let go, and then observe, so that appearance is empty in itself, awareness is clear in itself, and both appearance and awareness are naturally liberated, thus achieving equanimity. The symbol of the meaning of no arising is: at that time, neither the thoughts to be abandoned nor the wisdom to be cultivated are found, thus the nature is without arising. The symbol of non-distraction and stainlessness is: from that experience outward

Without losing even a moment in focus, like the flow of a mindless river, taking it as the path in all subsequent states, without the slightest bit to be meditated upon or accomplished. Third, combining the four conducts with experience, without separating the former and the latter, entrusting the senses to the three situations of favorable, unfavorable, and neutral, and practicing accordingly. Fourth, the Lama points a finger to the sky and says, "Do not be distracted! Understanding will come." The student's consciousness abides in a state of non-doing, and that itself is the Great Seal. Do not be distracted, recognize and protect it. Fifth, the symbols of the Dakinis and the eleven lineages of wisdom, transmitted from the Yidam deity, are condensed into instructions like a wheel. These are four: extending like an arrow, descending like thunder, rotating like a wheel, and abiding like a lamp. First, sit comfortably on the seat, legs in vajra posture, back straight, eyes looking upwards, throw consciousness forward, and extend awareness like an arrow, decisively settling into a state of no support. Second, from that, lower the eyes, awareness is recognized as the unborn state of emptiness just inside the navel, and abide in equanimity. Third, if there is dullness, then train awareness, circling like the sky, contracting like a mustard seed, up and down, rotating vigorously like a wheel. Fourth, having thus condensed, the clarity of awareness is clear and transparent, abiding purely like ghee from the outside in, like a lamp unmoved by the wind. Also, do not lose consciousness in the past, do not scatter in the future, this present awareness, this clear and transparent moment, abide with brightness and clarity right in the heart, so that it can be used freely. At that time, the root is seen, the target is clear, sharp and swift, it goes where it is released, it stays where it is placed, it arrives when needed, it hits the point, it can be used, awareness is mastered, the mind is controlled, and thus the supreme wisdom is accomplished. From that, the five wisdoms of the four bodies are spontaneously accomplished. Third, regarding the aftermath, it is the instruction on the Bardo, and the demonstration of the general result of actions. First, if the illusory body Bardo is practiced in this way, then signs will appear in the Bardo of dream habit. Once it appears, in the Bardo of dying suffering, one can use it freely.
