If you meditate on everything completely, first practice each one for two or three months, and you will gain some experience. After that, if you meditate on all four in one day, practice tummo in the morning or early session, illusory body in the midday session, dream yoga in the evening session, and clear light in the night session, doing it strictly like this. However, this is not absolute. Similarly, if you cannot practice all four, practicing three in combination, or two in combination, or practicing each one individually, you will achieve special meaning. The so-called "one-session yoga" also refers to the four root dharmas, because transference and bardo are supplementary, so whether explained extensively or concisely, it is the same, thus allowing for flexibility. But in practice, it is done like this: For transference, visualize the crown aperture as being open like a vast sky. Just like holding onto the clear light that relies on "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), the "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) four fingers below the navel passes through the central channel along with the exhaled breath. Visualize it shooting like an arrow into the center of the sky and disappearing into the vast sky. Then, visualize that "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) descending from the sky like a cloud, entering through the crown aperture, and reaching the lower end of the central channel. For this, it is sufficient to practice the alternating going and coming yourself. There is no need to close the doors, it is said. Sixth, bardo, from visualizing the dharma arising in front of oneself to visualizing the lama on the crown, is similar to the instructions in the intermediate level of the text. To ensure that the key points are not missed, visualize the abodes of the six realms of beings, and all good and bad forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile sensations as illusions, and train in the aspiration of bardo. Clearly visualize the union of the womb and egg, etc., and in the bardo, through recognition, transform it into the yidam father and mother. Even for that, do not have attachment, but see it as an illusion. Thus, remember. These two branch dharmas are also a small part of the near lineage. Thus, this way of gathering into one-session yoga is a verbal tradition that has rarely been written down before. The second wind yoga of tummo, as well as the appearance of objects, and the clear light of "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), and the slightly modified parts aimed at these two branch dharmas, are also said to be the near lineage, and the appearance of objects and clear light are also recorded in ancient texts. The others are only ancient instructions. Now, it is the visualization needed for both the extensive and intermediate instructions.

Now, the instructions for the preliminary practices will be explained. This is the blessing of Tummo's arising dharma, the common Tummo of the Lama. Before the Guru Yoga of Tummo itself, visualize yourself abiding as the venerable Jetsunma, or keep your body as it is. Inwardly, establish the empty realm of emptiness. The body posture can be either cross-legged or any comfortable position. Visualize in the center of your body a central channel, red in color, with a thickness like an incense stick. Its lower end is four fingers below the navel, and its upper end pierces the crown of the head. The aperture at the crown is very wide, like a wheel. In accordance with the thickness of the central channel, visualize the opening of the central channel and the aperture at the crown being equal and open. Inside the central channel, at the level of the navel, on a sun disc, visualize your root guru, with matted hair piled up, adorned with bone ornaments, wearing a tiger skin, sitting in a cross-legged posture. Visualize him as the nature of fire, burning anything he touches without obstruction. Some old texts say to visualize “ཧཾ”(Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)at the crown, but this is not practiced. Then, expel impure air and vigorously practice the four combinations. The object of focus is: by controlling the breath, flames blaze fiercely from the guru's body. The flames burn upwards, almost unable to be contained within the central channel, and emerge from the aperture at the crown. The flames fill the sky. Offer various offerings to all the gurus, yidams, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and all that fills the sky. The light of the fire itself becomes an offering of bliss. All of this dissolves into the nectar of bodhicitta. Return together with the flames. Nectar enters from the aperture at the crown. Passing through the central channel, it descends into the guru's body, like pouring oil on hot iron, with sounds of 'sor,' 'tsik,' and 'hur.' Visualize the inside of the body filled with fierce flames, making sounds of 'hur hur' and 'shik shik.' Practice seven breaths or as appropriate. This increases warmth and is praised for eliminating blockages in the channels and winds. In general, because it stimulates the guru's blessings, it eliminates all obstacles and generates all qualities, therefore it is praised. The so-called establishing the emptiness of the inner channels means first visualizing the central channel as thin as a wheat stalk. Then, visualize it gradually becoming thicker, like a medium-sized arrow shaft, like a horse whip. Then gradually becoming thinner again, like a wheat stalk. At the same time, control the gentle breath.
