Outside of that, in the east is Indra, in the southeast is Agni, in the south is Yama, in the southwest is Rakshasa, in the west is Varuna, in the northwest is Vayu, in the north is Yaksha, in the northeast is Bhuta. Above is Brahma, below is the Earth Lord, these are the ten directional guardians. Furthermore, there are the eight great gods, the eight great nagas, the eight great planets, the nine great terrors, the twenty-eight constellations, and the four great kings. All seventy-five protectors of Tsang and U are surrounded by a retinue of billions upon billions. Outside of that, there is the army of oath-bound ones, who delight in flesh and blood, revel in blood, are without compassion, with gaping mouths, red eyes, holding various fierce weapons in their hands, capable of taking the life-breath of all beings in an instant. They have the forms of Yakshas, Rakshasas, Yamas, demons, and Matrikas, filling the entire earth, space, and sky. All of them will fulfill the wishes of the practitioner as they are. To such a guru and protector who are inseparable, pray with fervent devotion, and from their heart, brilliant rays of light emanate, striking your bodies, burning away all the sins and obscurations of your body, speech, and mind, purifying all impure appearances, and generating the faith of transforming into a mass of light. Upon that, the master recites: OM SVABHAVA SHUDDHO SARVA DHARMA SVABHAVA SHUDDHO HAM. By reciting this, it transforms into luminous emptiness. Within that emptiness, in your respective places, from PAM (Tibetan: པཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: प, Sanskrit Romanization: paṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Pam) a lotus arises, and from RAM (Tibetan: རཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ram) a sun disc arises. From the white BAM (Tibetan: བཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Bam) melting into light, the Lord of Wealth and Gatherings manifests, with a white body, an elephant's head, three eyes, the right hand offering the essence of the earth, with leaves, to his mouth, and the left hand holding a skull cup filled with nectar, adorned with silk and jewels, residing in a reclining posture. Above that, your mind transforms into a dark blue HUM (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hum), marked with a curved knife marked with HUM.
