Guarding. These are the place guarding among the three guardings. Third, the order of making supplications is: with the rays of light from the heart, invite the guru, yidam, etc., to the space in front, that is, invite them directly above the center of the tent in the upper direction. Thinking that oneself is sitting in front of them on various vajra grounds, recite "Buddha, Dharma," etc., take refuge three times, and the four immeasurables are also done in the manner of making aspirations in front of those objects of refuge. Both the refuge and the four immeasurables here have the meaning of supplication. The light touches and purifies the defilements of one's own three doors, as usual. Regard the refuge object and one's own mind as inseparable, like a mirror and an image, liberated from one and different. This is the yoga guarding among the three guardings, and meditating on the four immeasurables is said to be yoga guarding, which is in accordance with what is stated in other treatises. Purifying defilements by taking refuge and emitting light, etc., is more excellent than others in many ways of entering blessings. Second, accumulating accumulations is divided into two. The first is accumulating the accumulation of merit, from "again dissolving into the state of clear light from the heart" onwards. The objects of supplication, the places of refuge, are all abiding in the vajra tent. Again, invite the mandala of the yidam of the merit field to abide in the sky just above the level of one's eyebrows. In the sky above the mandala, in the center is the root guru, surrounded by the lineage gurus, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, etc., visualize them gathered like a crowd. Although it is said to invite the merit field, it is like raising a lamp in a dark cave. The merit fields have been abiding in that direction from the beginning, but they were previously obscured by ignorance and could not be seen. The condition is that the light emitted from the heart makes them clearly visible. Then, the actual accumulation of merit is to perform the seven-branch offering, of which the three mantras of prostration are: I prostrate to you! I prostrate to myself! I bow and prostrate! That is the meaning. The second branch is offering, which has four types: outer, inner, secret, and suchness. Among them, argham, etc., are outer offerings, and the inner offering is the five meats and five elixirs.

5. The secret offering is to emanate and offer eight and sixteen consorts, etc. In the context of Suchness, the object of offering is the assembly field, the offerer is oneself, and the offerings are the outer, inner, and secret substances of offering. Since all these are appearances of one's own mind, although they appear as various phenomena, their essence is the same, so they are non-dual. The very nature of this is free from all elaborations, so it is without object. Thus, prostration and offering, along with the five branches from the continuous confession that came from the Gur Tantra, make a total of seven branches. The five branches are: confession of sins, rejoicing, refuge, generation of bodhicitta, and dedication. Although there are two instances each of refuge and generation of bodhicitta, they are merely brief and detailed explanations, so they are not counted as separate branches. 'Dissolving into the state of clear light' means that all those who were previously invited to the place of supplication, and the assembly field at this time, are visualized as abiding together in that place, no longer appearing. This is done when the Form Body does not benefit others, and when the clear light reaches its ultimate point, abiding in equanimity in the Dharmakaya itself. Appearing as the Form Body and not abiding in the Dharmakaya is also the activity of the appearance of those to be tamed, so one should meditate in accordance with this, but in reality, there is no such rising and falling in the self-appearance of the actual Buddha. The second is the gathering of wisdom, which is to contemplate the meaning of the mantras स्वाभाव (Tibetan: སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वभाव, Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Literal Chinese meaning: self-nature) and शून्यता (Tibetan: ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता, Sanskrit Romanization: śūnyatā, Literal Chinese meaning: emptiness). That is, everything that appears different from one's own mind is called the 'grasped.' This is merely an appearance of delusion, and since nothing exists apart from the mind, the grasped is without self-nature, because the mind is the self-nature of all grasped phenomena. Combine with the mantra of Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Literal Chinese meaning: self-nature), self-nature purity. The self-nature here also refers to the self-nature that abides in conventional truth. The 'grasper' is the one who grasps the object, that is, the seer, the knower, the experiencer, so it is all of the eight consciousnesses, mind, and mental factors. This is merely an appearance of the gathering of causes and conditions, and since it has not been established from the beginning except for appearing as a form of knowing, the grasper is also without object. Thus, since both the grasped and the grasper are not established, all phenomena are empty from the beginning. Therefore, it is शून्यता (Tibetan: ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता, Sanskrit Romanization: śūnyatā, Literal Chinese meaning: emptiness).
