Giving to mothers. The third is the concluding activity, praying for wishes: From Vajradhara to the root guru, all the great four and small eight lineages of the Kagyu lineage, the venerable gurus who possess the warmth of blessings, and all the unbroken lineages, I prostrate to you. May I and all my disciples receive all supreme and common siddhis, may our minds be tamed and possess the confidence of realization, may we be able to effortlessly display clairvoyance and miracles. Through listening, may we perfectly cut off external attachments, and through contemplation, may we realize the meaning of the sutras and tantras as they are. Through meditation, may we see the nature of reality nakedly and without obscuration. May listening, contemplation, and meditation reach their culmination. May wisdom be inseparable from Manjushri, may compassion be like Avalokiteshvara, may power and strength be like the Lord of Secrets, may knowledge, compassion, and ability be perfected. May I be certain that the guru is the actual Buddha, entrusting myself completely, seeing all actions as good, holding all words as truth, blending heart and mind as one, may I perfect genuine devotion. From the nature of co-emergent mind itself, whatever good or bad thoughts arise, may they be liberated in their original state, may I realize all thoughts as only Dharmakaya. May all these internal and external phenomena not go beyond the radiance of mind itself, and may mind also be clear, empty, and free from elaboration, may all appearances arise as Mahamudra. May all virtuous activities such as listening, contemplation, and meditation, teaching, debating, and writing, not become companions of pride and sin, but become causes for attaining supreme enlightenment. May I serve the guru, sangha, and dharma with body, speech, and mind, without thinking of reward or repayment, but striving for it as my own benefit. Regarding the good and bad of the guru, dharma, and monastery, whatever good or bad I may see, may I not judge them, but may I develop genuine pure perception towards all. In general, all conditioned things are impermanent, and especially the life of beings is not permanent, so abandoning laziness, relying on the lineage with diligence, may I spend my time only in virtuous practice day and night. Even obtaining a human body is difficult, let alone obtaining a human body with leisure and endowment.

Dhi. Without abandoning meaningless and futile things, may it become a stable and permanent field. Because all phenomena depend on dependent origination, believing that happiness is obtained from virtuous results and suffering arises from sinful results, may I engage in the activity of abandoning evil and practicing virtue. This place of samsara is like a pit of fire. Even apparent happiness is the cause of suffering. Hating this inescapable abyss, may renunciation arise in my mind. Even if I am liberated from the suffering of samsara alone, since I desire peace and happiness only for myself, the great purpose of mother sentient beings will not be accomplished. May the supreme mind of bodhichitta arise. Meditating equally on the meaning of non-different shamatha and vipashyana, like a river in summer, may my experience and realization increase. By constantly and diligently cultivating it without interruption, may I quickly enter the four yogas and the twelve aspects of samadhi. However much good experience and realization arises, if conceptual clinging enters, it becomes a bond. May I quickly realize the unmade Mahamudra, which is free from clinging, free from elaboration, clear, empty, and blissful. At all times, in whatever of the four activities, with unscattered mindfulness as a watchman, relying on mindfulness and awareness, and being very careful, may I ultimately see the face of awareness itself. Whatever sickness, affliction, or suffering arises, by determining that it is a trick of the mind, abandoning all acceptance and rejection, removal and placement, negation and affirmation, may I enjoy the path of self-purification without abandoning anything. By the immeasurable beings, self and others, from beginningless time until now, whatever sinful deeds have been done, may they all be purified by a single, intense confession. Whatever roots of virtue have been done, are being done, will be done, and whatever merit there is in rejoicing in them, may they not become stained or wasted, but become the cause for attaining perfect enlightenment. Practicing the six perfections such as generosity, and pleasing the lama and the Buddha, etc., whatever roots of virtue of body, speech, and mind have been accomplished, may they become the cause for the complete perfection of the two accumulations. To the holy lama, who is the actual Buddha, offering intense and irreversible devotion, may I be able to give up my body and life for the sake of the lama, and wear the armor of the Mahayana Dharma. Knowing well that there is no essence in anything, this meaningless life of gain, respect, fame, desire, flattery, and protecting faces
