Therefore, the non-arising of things as phenomena is form emptiness, the non-cessation of non-things as phenomena is the form of emptiness itself, and the non-abiding of different phenomena is that emptiness is not other than form. In short, the nature of phenomena is nothing at all: it is neither existent nor nonexistent, neither permanent nor impermanent, neither apparent nor empty, neither a thing nor a non-thing, neither samsara nor nirvana. In one respect, it is empty because it is everything; in another respect, it is everything because it is nothing. That itself is called emptiness endowed with all aspects. Therefore, emptiness and dependent origination are inseparable. As Nagarjuna said: "Without duality, dependent arising, without cessation, without arising." He spoke extensively in this way. That is also empty because the nature of phenomena is nothing at all, and it is empty because phenomena appear in any way. Because it is not anything, it appears in any way; because it appears in any way, it is not anything, and they are inseparable. Therefore, if emptiness is not understood as dependent origination, it will lead to nihilism. If dependent origination is not understood as emptiness, it will lead to the assertion of karma as the cause. Therefore, establishing these two with one key point is a very profound subject. Its meaning is also extensively explained in the sutras, tantras, and treatises. As Nagarjuna said: "Other than dependent origination, there is no other phenomenon. Therefore, other than emptiness, there is no other phenomenon." He spoke of them as non-different. Also, as the *Moon Lamp Sutra* says: "Whatever arises from conditions is unborn. In it, there is no object of arising. Whatever depends on conditions is emptiness. Whoever knows emptiness is said to be wise." Thus it is said. Also, as Nagarjuna said: "Whatever is dependent origination, that is considered emptiness. That is arising from conditions, that is the Middle Way." Thus, emptiness is explained as dependent origination. Moreover, like the vastness of space, there is no difference whatsoever, yet it is labeled as karma. If one is controlled by karma, there is no self-born wisdom. Thus, the emptiness of cause and effect is explained. Thus, the nature of phenomena is nothing at all, and it does not abide in anything. Therefore, the imputation of terms is not found, and it cannot be made an object of the mind.

That which is called "Tubpa" is emptiness. It is also called "Suchness," unborn, free from elaboration, luminous, ultimate truth, the realm of dharma or the nature of dharma. These are different names for the same thing, which is the nature of the mind of enlightenment, inconceivable. Secondly, the two ways of emptying through the path are: emptying through meditation and ordinariness, emptying through view and non-view, and emptying all three spheres of agent, object, and action. That is to say, first, the complete emptiness of emptying through view and non-view is: all phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana are determined to be emptiness, so the assertion "my view is this" is empty of view because there is nothing to establish; the negation "this is not" is empty of non-view because there is nothing to negate, that is, liberation from all biased views. In this regard, Nagarjuna said, "Even if one obtains the view of emptiness, if some people's views are not eliminated, they are incurable holders of views, like patients abandoned by doctors." Therefore, "I prostrate to the body of wisdom that destroys all views!" Also, the Vajra Tentra says, "In order to dispel attachment to views, and those who seek self, to dispel the thought of self-grasping, the Victorious Ones have taught emptiness." Therefore, the point of the above, which is nothing in any one aspect but is everything in the unbiased aspect, is that here there is no attachment to "this is a view, this is not a view," so the biases of the eight extremes are naturally liberated, which is the correct view. Lama Zhang said, "There is nothing that exists, and there is nothing that does not exist. Existence and non-existence, are established in mutual dependence, when dependence ceases, view also ceases." This is the meaning of it. Emptying through meditation, the complete emptiness of meditation through ordinariness is: when the mind rests in its own nature, and thoughts naturally cease, the unidentifiable awareness, free from fabricated elaboration, is therefore empty through meditation, and self-awareness appears without an object, and a definite understanding arises of non-thought, which is emptying through ordinariness. Also, because there is not a single object of meditation created by conceptual thought, saying "this is to be meditated on," it is empty through meditation; because there is nothing to abandon or discard, saying "this is not to be meditated on," it is empty through ordinariness. Emptiness meditation liberates, the remaining meditation is its meaning.
