One gains the power to completely fill and merge. Through this power, one can also control the five winds of the limbs. Releasing from the senses, one does not cling to external objects. The five meditations proceed swiftly in non-thought. Thus, the union of the nectar-like wind in the eleven winds is the view of the Vajrayana tantras. All subtle and coarse winds are gathered inward through the key point of non-duality of inner and outer. When perfected, no discomfort arises no matter how long it is held. Fourth, suppression: If this is not possible, release a little of the action of expelling the poison from the wind, and then suppress the breath again. This is like the steam rising from the foam of boiling tea, similar to the stomach, which is very important. If this is not possible, suppress once to the right, once to the left, and once to the center. Then, like a lion shaking its mane, leap and suppress. This loosens the knots of the channels, opens the mouths of the merit channels, and allows the wind to quickly enter the central channel. This leaping causes all the winds to return to their places, and all ailments caused by wind will not occur. Fifth, release: Draw in slightly and then release forcefully and completely. Hold for a moment outside. When releasing, look slightly inward, focusing on the area below the navel is very important. Maintaining the foundation of the clear wind is very important. This is the gathering of all subtle and coarse winds, without distinction between inner and outer, outward through illness. When there is no discomfort no matter how long it is released, it is perfected. The natural merging of inner and outer wind is warmth. Like this, again and again, inhale without resting. Perform one complete union of winds to the right, one complete union to the left, and one complete union to the center. Perform four rounds each time without resting. It is very important that these key points are not confused. That is, the key to releasing depends on suppression, the key to suppression depends on filling, the key to filling depends on inhaling, and the key to inhaling depends on exhaling. If one is wrong, all will be wrong. That is, if the remaining wind stays in the upper body, then the key to exhaling is wrong. If one cannot control the eleven winds, then the key to filling is wrong. If the life-sustaining wind does not merge into the flame of the wisdom channel, then the key to inhaling is wrong. If sweat does not soak the body, then the key to suppression is wrong. If one cannot expel smoothly, then the key to releasing is wrong.

The key is not to make mistakes. Like this, through inhaling, make entering the path; through filling and holding, make abiding the path; through exhaling, make expelling the path. The three, arising, entering, and abiding, in their own nature, are controlled by one wind combination. Through the key of the inseparability of wind and mind, inside and outside, mastering this wind combination that encompasses eleven winds is the unique realization of the secret empowerment in the Vajrayana teachings. Other wind combinations and this one are worlds apart. The reason why other winds have many obstacles is that too many wrong instructions have been given. Not knowing how to exhale at the beginning causes many obstacles. Inhaling with sound causes coldness and swelling. Too forcefully causes the channels to misplace. Inhaling from the mouth causes heart wind. Inhaling from any life force causes a short life. Inhaling just a little from the nostrils does not complete the strength. Cannot be filled. The lower part of the tummo wheel is not released, causing discomfort in the upper part. Bliss and warmth are slow. In filling, if it does not encompass eleven winds, it cannot stop the winds of the four nearby places, therefore wisdom will not arise. The hot and cold winds are not mixed, therefore no qualities arise. In holding, it is said to meditate on the wind going out from the pores of the hair, but this causes skin diseases, or it may cause the wind to go in reverse. The channels of qualities are broken, and the wind cannot enter the central channel. In exhaling, it is said to visualize the wind going out from the crown of the head like a powerful archer shooting an arrow, turning blue, which is very wrong and seriously harms life, causing the wind to go in reverse, the wind stays at the feet, and thus it cannot be accomplished. If one does not understand how to mix the wind that has gone out, then wind meditation becomes very difficult, but the effect is small. This is worlds apart from those, because it has many key points that do not cause obstacles and quickly generate qualities. For practitioners of the path of means, it is very important to thoroughly complete the practice and receive good guidance. Third, the characteristic of the object of focus is that it conforms to the reality of things. The body conforms to the reality of things. The three, outer, inner, and secret, are interdependent. The object to be purified, the means of purification, the symbol, and the meaning must be consistent. If these key points are wrong, even if one meditates for countless eons, no qualities will arise, just like meditating on the ear as the eye. Even if one meditates on the eye for countless eons, the ear will not become the eye. The great Jetsun Repa said: A result that does not arise from a cause is difficult, that which does not arise from moisture
