They experience hundreds of thousands of periods. The cold hells, those with blisters, those with burst blisters, called "Achhu," called "Kyihud," teeth chattering, cracking like উৎপལ་ (Sanskrit: utpala, Romanized Sanskrit: utpala, literal Chinese meaning: blue lotus), cracking like lotuses, cracking greatly like lotuses, the unbearable suffering of extreme cold, and also the suffering of being beaten and intimidated by fierce Yamarajas wielding sharp swords. Like taking out one sesame seed each year from a sesame store until it is exhausted, that is the lifespan of the blister hell; the lifespan of other hells is twenty times that. That's the end of it. Furthermore, there are solitary hells and neighboring hells, eighteen in total. Pretas are those with bodies ablaze, spines like mountain caves empty of entrails, motionless, mouths as thin as the eye of a needle, hair coarse and standing on end, some bodies touched by the fire of trees, some like brooms, appearing in various forms. They do not even hear the name of thirst, and can only swallow vomit, food turning into pus and blood, burning the body, and so on. The "Friendly Epistle" says: For pretas, even the moon is hot in summer, and the sun is cold in winter. Those trees without fruit, merely by being looked at by them, rivers will dry up. It also says: Some pretas have mouths as small as the eye of a needle, but bellies as large as a valley, afflicted by hunger, and have no ability to seek even a little bit of discarded filth. Regarding lifespan, the "Moon Treasury Sutra" says: Five hundred months day and night, they will not die even after five thousand or one hundred thousand years. Animals are foolish and ignorant, devouring each other, killing and exploiting, and so on, with countless sufferings. Some die for the sake of pearls, coral, bones, blood, flesh, and skin. Other helpless beings are bound by hands and feet, pierced by iron and iron hooks, and then exploited. Thus it is said. Humans have birth, old age, sickness, and death; gods have the suffering of death, transference, and falling. These are called the suffering of suffering. The suffering of change refers to all the happiness of the heavens, as the "Friendly Epistle" says: Even Indra (Sanskrit: Indra, Romanized Sanskrit: Indra, literal Chinese meaning: Lord Shakra), having become worthy of worship in the world, will fall to earth again due to the power of karma. Even Brahma (Sanskrit: Brahmā, Romanized Sanskrit: Brahmā, literal Chinese meaning: Brahma) having arisen from the joy of detachment

Through the power of karma, one becomes a slave again. It is said. The five aggregates are the basis for closely experiencing the suffering of formation. Children are like the palm of a hand, not seeing suffering, while noble ones are like eyes, seeing suffering. That is to say: Children are like the palm of a hand, not realizing the intensity of the suffering of formation. Noble ones are like eyes, thus suffering arises in their minds. It is said. The Lord of Yoga said: In the prison of samsara without joy, hoping for happiness, one experiences suffering, like a chronic patient who is cared for but expects death. It is said, all of the three realms of samsara are of the nature of suffering, therefore it is said that all contaminated things are suffering. Permanent happiness is only nirvana, therefore, only nirvana is peaceful and happy. Secondly, the uncommon preliminaries include: the refuge and bodhicitta instructions that make the mind a suitable vessel; the Vajrasattva practice that purifies obstacles and obscurations; the mandala offering that completes the accumulations; and the guru yoga instructions that allow blessings to enter. First, the refuge and bodhicitta instructions that make the mind a suitable vessel: In the sky in front of oneself, from Lam (藏文:ལཾ,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) arises a golden ground, in the center of the level ground, from Bam (藏文:བཾ,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) arises an ocean of nectar, in the center of that, from Pam (藏文:པཾ,梵文天城体:पं,梵文罗马拟音:paṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) arises a wish-fulfilling tree, in the center of the delightful tree, on a precious throne, the root guru is surrounded by the lineage gurus, in front is the yidam Chakrasamvara, surrounded by all the deities of the mandala, on the right is Buddha Shakyamuni and all the Buddhas, behind is the great mother, abiding in the form of scriptures and books, on the left is Avalokiteshvara and all the bodhisattvas, surrounded by the great sangha of shravakas, in all directions, heroes and dakinis, dharma protectors abiding like dense clouds in front. For the sake of all sentient beings, may I attain perfect enlightenment, with such an aspiration. Reciting the refuge prayer three times to the gurus abiding in the ten directions, such as
