I take refuge in the Guru! Heroic yoginis, the wheel, I prostrate to the place of yoga. Please explain the vows of all the Buddhas, and the supreme secret precepts. Then, in order to generate the mind of unsurpassed mantra, for the benefit of all sentient beings, may I quickly attain the state of perfect Buddhahood, generate such a thought. From that which has become complete, visualize yourself as a deity, bright in your heart, the nature of the conventional bodhicitta is a full moon disc, the nature of great bliss. Then, contemplate that all phenomena are free from all elaborations, like the sky, the nature of the ultimate bodhicitta, transformed into a blue five-pronged vajra, with the mind of generating the two truths inseparable, repeat after me: Om Bodhicitta Sarva Yoga Citta Utpadayami. Then, in front of the Guru and the mandala deities, as well as other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, with the common supreme bodhicitta, and with the intention of holding and protecting the Bodhisattva vows encompassed by it, repeat this sentence three times. I take refuge in the Three Jewels! Etc. Then, with the intention of holding and protecting the uncommon mantra vows, repeat this sentence three times. All the Buddhas together with their sons, and all the heroic yoginis, please consider me. I, named so-and-so, from this time onwards, until the essence of enlightenment, just as the protectors of the three times, have definitely attained enlightenment, I generate the unsurpassed supreme bodhicitta. In the Buddha yoga precepts, the training of discipline, the accumulation of virtuous dharmas, and the three disciplines of benefiting sentient beings.

I shall firmly hold. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, are the unsurpassed Three Jewels. From today onwards, I shall hold them, Never abandoning them. In the great and supreme Vajra family, the Vajra, bell, and mudra as well, I shall truly hold. The teachers too, I shall hold. In the great and supreme Ratna family, to the pleasing vows, each day, in six sessions, I shall always give the four kinds of generosity. In the great and pure Padma family, which arises from great Bodhi, the three vehicles of outer, inner, and secret, I shall hold the sacred Dharma. In the great and supreme Karma family, endowed with all vows, I shall truly hold. I shall also do the work of offering as much as I can. The unsurpassed Bodhicitta, the sacred, I have generated, for the sake of all sentient beings, I shall hold all the vows. Those who have not crossed over, I shall help cross over, those who have not been liberated, I shall liberate, those who have not found rest, I shall give rest, and establish sentient beings in Nirvana. Then, thinking to keep and protect the special fourteen root downfalls and eight gross transgressions, these twenty-two vows, recite this three times. I always take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. I always take refuge in Yoga, Mantra, and Dakini, who possess the nature of the three wheels. I always take refuge in all. Heroes, heroines, and powerful goddesses, great beings who are Bodhisattvas. Especially in the teachers, I always take refuge. Glorious Herukas, blood-drinkers, and other heroes, Yoginis and Makers of Light, etc., countless Bodhisattvas, please consider me. From this time onwards, until I abide in non-duality, its conduct of celibacy, non-dual, these twenty-two, I shall hold well. Then, in order to request entry into the mandala, offer a mandala. Then, with palms joined, holding flowers, recite this supplication three times: The so-called Lion of Speaking Ultimate Meaning Yoga, who is extremely skilled in the meaning of cutting off afflictions, who destroys the root afflictions that generate a hundred faults of existence, may the King of Yoga, the Ultimate Meaning, be accomplished.
