Dark in color, short in stature, great in splendor, Cutting off cruelty, with a curved knife in the right hand, With the left hand, a vessel filled with the blood of cruelty, I praise the one with a garland of skulls. The earth shakes from the stamping of angry feet, The terrifying laughter overturns Mount Meru, Extracting the heart of those who break their vows, I praise the one with vows. Glorious Protector, Mahakala, Great deity, blazing, black, and powerful, Son of Mahadeva, fierce, Great Lord of Hosts, Mahakala, Auspicious Black One, enemy of the three-tiered city, Black Great One, protector of all the teachings, Black Great One, the lifeblood of all Dharma wheels, Black Great One, the war god of those with vows, Please come here and accept this torma of ornaments. Please accept this torma of red flesh and blood. Please accept this food of Jambudvipa. Please accept this torma of the essence of medicine and alcohol. I offer a powerful repayment for the work entrusted before. Please accept a powerful clarification of the work entrusted now. Protect the retinue and avert obstacles, And all enemies who hate and harmful obstructors, Demons and many kinds of interrupters, Please pacify them all. Quickly accomplish the tasks of expanding the teachings. And: Bhyoh! By the power of whose body, speech, and mind, Having subdued all the realms of desire, Mother who controls the realms of desire, Homage to the Mother, the sovereign of the desire realm.
