Fourth, on the path of the third empowerment, there are two preliminaries. In the main practice, seven-branch pranayama is added at the beginning of the path, and at the end, the path of the four joys is introduced as the path of the four wisdom empowerments. Others are combined as before, and the main practice is divided into twenty sessions for guidance. Fifth, on the path of the fourth empowerment, there are two preliminaries. In the main practice, during the stages of the path, three trainings are given per session. The seven-branch pranayama, the waves of the body, the two aspects of speech, stillness and fierceness, each take one session for three moments to practice. Therefore, the path is completed by the fourth empowerment alone, and the other three arise naturally. Like the experience of emptiness appearing, emptiness is the path of the vase empowerment; emptiness as clarity is the path of the secret empowerment; appearance and clarity, recognizing emptiness with their respective nature, bliss arises from the absence of dust, and emptiness as bliss is the path of the third empowerment. Thus, emptiness with their respective nature is not produced immediately, but enters from the beginning of purity, so it is introduced as the path of the fourth empowerment. The other fourth empowerment is as before, guided by twenty-one sessions, and the practices of preparation and conclusion are applied to all sessions as previously taught. From these gradual guidances, verbal instructions are also created, and these four independently created ones are only meaning instructions. These four are not done as one guidance sequence, but as four complete guidances, so each person's path is complete and without lack. Extensive, medium, and concise, and profound, medium, and three, three types of people correspond to two guidance methods, six key instructions for guidance. Practice is arranged concisely and accurately. This work, entitled "The Key to Clarifying the Stages of Guidance with Six Key Points," was written by the monk Sonam. Shubham! Om Swasti Siddham (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning). This work, entitled "A Concise and Clear Explanation of the Stages of Guidance with Three Capacities: Superior, Medium, and Inferior." Homage to the venerable lamas, the great compassionate ones! The great scholar Virupa believes that if all beings entering the path are classified, there are three yogis inclined towards skillful means, three yogis inclined towards wisdom, and yogis of the union of skillful means and wisdom, totaling seven. The first type of person wants only to accumulate merit, the second type receives the four empowerments in the four sessions of the path, and the third type recites

Wishing to accomplish all activities through fire offerings, the second is the lowest diligence, merely meditating on no-self; the intermediate is focusing the mind on the generation stage; the highest is focusing the mind on the yoga of winds, these are the three. Whichever of these, one should come to the guru, receive empowerment and samaya. If one wishes to practice the generation stage of any deity and its essence through instructions, then how to practice the instructions? There are two parts: preliminary and main practice. The first part has fifteen dharmas, but if summarized, they can be included in twelve. First, the preliminaries of the instructions are three: practicing the unfavorable side, reciting the Hundred Syllable Mantra; practicing the favorable side, accumulating merit, offering the mandala; and the method of generating renunciation, contemplating the faults of samsara, as the scriptures say. Second, the key points of the session's preliminaries are three: three preliminaries, three actions of wisdom, and three actions of skillful means, because the three actions of skillful means are included in the middle three, so there is no practice, etc. First, the intermediate is: meditating on loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhicitta, as the scriptures say. Third, all dharmas are mind, mind is illusion, illusion is without inherent existence, the first of these three is: after the six session preliminaries have been completed, like this, all outer, inner, and secret things are one's own mind, not made by Ishvara or Maheshvara, nor composed of atoms, nor emanated by the Tathagata, but like dreams confused by sleep, etc., it is the appearance of one's own mind being confused by karma and bad habits from beginningless time, so think that nothing outer or inner exists. Then at the end, also slightly rest one's own mind in that clear and lucid state. One should become accustomed to it for three, five, or seven days, etc. Second, one should train in the four: dreams, illusions, reflections, and mirages. Among these, one should first train in mirages. If one of the two appearances seen by a mirage is true, then the other is false, so they do not become one. If one side is true, then the other side is false, so they merge into one. But neither of them is true, similarly, one should meditate that this mind is also not true. There are two kinds of reflections: reflections in a mirror and reflections of the moon in water. For these two, one should train like this: thinking that the reflection exists
