Even if meditating with eyes closed is acceptable, one should learn as it is said, "Clear, intense, and short, one should learn the practice of Tummo." In between focusing on the object, do not let the breath enter. Having focused clearly in this way, inhale the upper breath, swallowing without making any sound of the horse-saliva of breath, pressing the Adam's apple forcefully, focusing intensely on the appearance like the falling of flames and the intermingling of sounds, drawing up the lower gate, and combining the breath to a moderate degree. Second, cultivating the view is the actual samadhi; from the previous object, examine what experiences arise in the body and mind. If any of the fifteen experiences arise, and one abides single-pointedly on that, then loosen the effort of wind and mind. Relax the body and mind, clearly or loosely ascertain, and remain without moving. Furthermore, if the mind wanders, then intensely meditate on that very wind-mind activity of purifying the path. In this way, alternate between purifying the path and cultivating the view, or mainly engage in purifying the path, and at the end of the session cultivate the view, whichever is comfortable for the mind. Third, increasing the arising of warmth: whatever experiences arise, whether high or low, good or bad, recognize them as samadhi arising from internal interdependence, do not regard them as good or bad, abandon thoughts of liking or disliking, and transform them into the path. Fourth, the number of sessions is not fixed: meditating four or six sessions a day, etc., is not fixed. Fifth, the duration of sessions is not fixed: dividing each session into twenty-four parts, etc., is without fixed duration. Sixth, examining the object of mind's engagement: if the mind is joyful, then meditate; if not joyful, then do not meditate. If one is joyful but does not meditate, then progress will not occur; if one is not joyful but meditates, then it will become an obstacle. Like a wild horse, if one contends with meditation once, later it will become unmanageable and one will not be able to meditate. Seventh, controlling the state of the elements: if the state is good, then meditate; if bad, then nourish the state and relax for a while. If one meditates even when the state is bad, then the elements will become disturbed in the body. Eighth, urging on with the whip of food and conduct: eat light and nutritious food, rely on conduct that is not too restrictive but moderately relaxed, do not stay in the sun, fire, or wind, and do not cause oneself to sweat. The body posture is the lotus position.

Learning non-negligence. Second, regarding the eight methods of Brahma. The method of practicing the path is: The master said, "Shoot the arrow of fire at the target of the bodhicitta Hum (藏文:ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) with the bow of wind, and wisdom will arise quickly, without repeated practice." The meaning of this sentence is: Sit in the vajra posture, place your hands on your knees, and keep the other points of the body the same as before. First, perform the nine branches of meditation, and then establish the key point of the mind, which is the bow of wind at the lower gate, the arrow of fire with the nature of heat, roughness, sharpness, and sharpness, with the tip of the arrow pointing down, clearly in the lower gate path. Visualize the central channel as being straight from the secret place to the top of the head, with the Hum (藏文:ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable facing down at the top, filled with bodhicitta. The key point of the wind is to violently contract the lower wind, bringing the lower abdomen close to the spine, and visualize from the back, the bow and arrow are upside down, and the tip of the arrow enters the central channel. Then, pull the upper body upwards, and when the bow is fully drawn, forcefully lift the lower abdomen and lower wind upwards. Look upwards with your eyes, and visualize the arrow of fire shooting out from the central channel and hitting the Hum (藏文:ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable on the top of the head. From the Hum (藏文:ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable, nectar flows out, like a long, thin thread, or like a pearl, white and bright. Visualize these two forms of nectar descending into the body when you feel comfortable and relaxed in your heart, and at the same time relax the lower wind and upper body. Forcefully push the abdomen outwards and bring the abdomen close to the spine. In this way, the upper wind naturally stops, and there is no need to deliberately control it, nor should it be deliberately released. This is the key point of pacifying the wind. At that time, if the mind is distracted, do not visualize the target of the bow and arrow, but focus on the nectar dripping down to the heart or above the navel. If you faint due to the intensity of the meditation, strike the inside and outside of the seventh vertebra with your fists or palms. If this does not help, you can use water whips and other methods, and practice the key points of the eight instructions as before. In each subsequent session, you can visualize the target of the bow and arrow. Cultivating the view, etc., is the same as before. From this practice, warmth and bliss mainly arise. Third, the yoga of the channels, the method of practicing the path is: The body remains in a comfortable posture such as the vajra posture, and the other preliminaries are completed. As the breath exhales, visualize the right channel as the nature of the mother, the color is red, from the secret place to the ear.
