First, slightly contract the lower wind. Then, silently guide the upper wind, gradually drawing it in with the effort of just touching the head to the ground, and contemplate all the winds dissolving into the fire at the navel, or meditate without focusing on any object. When the upper wind is complete, swallow a mouthful of saliva, and then forcefully inhale the lower wind, joining the winds at the navel, and making the abdomen adhere to the spine. Push the big belly outwards and slightly bend the throat. Press the jewel (referring to the hollow above the collarbone) slightly with the chin and hold the breath as much as possible. At that time, by contracting the lower wind, the upper wind will naturally stop, and by pressing the upper wind, the lower wind will be strongly drawn in, and if you don't want to exhale, it is the supreme method for generating precious qualities. Regarding the degree of pressing the wind: The effort is very strong and continuous. With strong effort, sixty-four times. With medium effort, thirty-two times. With weak effort, there is no fixed number. It is said that if applied to a session (of meditation): Very strong effort will make the joining continuous. Strong effort will have sixty-four joinings per session. Medium effort will have thirty-two per session. Weak effort is said to have no fixed number, but this is not the main focus. If applied to the measure of each joining: Alternate between one rotation of the knee and one striking of the bell. That is, for a person with good constitution, good food, and great faith and diligence, there is no fixed number of sessions, and it can be done continuously day and night. Therefore, for a person with weak constitution and effort, it can be calculated according to sixty-four complete breaths, with sixty-four joinings in one session. For a person with even weaker constitution and effort, it can be calculated according to thirty-two hours, with thirty-two joinings in one session. For a person with weak faith and diligence, there will be seven or ten bell strikes, or twenty-one, etc., per session, without a fixed number. Therefore, increase one each day or each session, so that even the weakest can become the strongest. In this way, endure as much as possible in the lotus position, and then practice through the activities of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down. First practice squatting. Once proficient, practice standing. Then, practice through all activities such as working. Afterwards, cultivate the view: Maintain clear self-awareness, and maintain relaxed self-awareness. The ultimate degree is day.

Multiple names can be combined into one, and merely through the mechanical movements of the body, it can transform into samadhi. Merely remembering the downward-moving air causes everything to cease naturally. It eliminates faults such as bodily disturbances, and the samadhi of bliss and emptiness arises without sequence. It accomplishes all siddhis, both worldly and transcendental. To dispel these obstacles, one should understand from the scriptures themselves. Secondly, the key points of the pervasive instructions are: In general, for a yogi practicing Caṇḍālī, clear focus is crucial. Even if the air pressure is weak, if the focus is clear, good experiences will arise. If it is not clear, even if the air pressure is strong, experiences will arise slowly, as if the focus is unclear. Here, if all the burning and dripping are focused above the heart, a clear samadhi of experience will arise, and the air pressure will be weak. If it is focused below the navel, warmth and comfort will mainly arise, and the air pressure will be strong. Rather than repeatedly abandoning all focuses, it is more important to grasp the key point of one focus. Moreover, the air and heat should also be combined with the seasons, age, and illness. Air in summer, heat in winter, non-thought in spring, and if you want to generate pleasant experiences, practice in autumn. Also, air in youth, heat in adulthood, and non-thought in old age. Furthermore, practice air when there is excessive blood and bile, and practice heat when there is excessive air. If the essential instructions for practicing these are briefly summarized, they can be condensed into nine: five that do not rely on chakras, three that do, and relying on the key points of the instructions is faster. The first has five, and among the eight for nourishing the flame, the practice of the path is: Sit upright, place the hands in the mudra of meditation, settle into the essential points, with the nine branches of meditation preceding, seek the path of meditation with any of the vital airs, and visualize the red-black syllable ཀྵ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, kṣa, "capable") four fingers below the navel, head facing down, abiding in the nature of fire; at the navel, visualize the reddish-white syllable ཨཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, aṃ, seed syllable), head facing up, clearly, and perform the combination of opening and closing the lower gate three times, and on the last contraction, when the air meets the bindu, fire blazes at the trijunction, striking the syllable ཀྵ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, kṣa, "capable"), the fire blazes even more. When it strikes the syllable ཨཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, aṃ, seed syllable) at the navel, a subtle stream of nectar descends, like pouring oil onto the wick of a lamp, visualize the flame of ཀྵ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, kṣa, "capable") being nourished. When meditating on these focuses, if it is not clear, the eye
