It is meditation. Regarding the meaning of the examples, one should constantly remember: During the day, whatever appears, such as dwelling, friends, enjoyments, etc., one should constantly think that it is a dreamlike appearance. In this way, through the nine aspects of preparation, main practice, and subsequent practice, one should meditate on the first example after generating certainty. Even if it takes a long time, one should not shift the focus from the first example until certainty is generated, and then move on to the second example and so on. These nine aspects of preparation, main practice, and subsequent practice should also be applied to the subsequent examples and practiced. Here, the nature of the examples is shown in order: Second, establishing in the mind through being corrupted by substances, such as not being afraid of anything when drunk, or appearing as a cause of joy and sorrow, etc. Third, being corrupted by illness, such as due to the effect of jaundice, things appear yellow, and appearing as oneself being butter. Fourth, being corrupted by demons, such as oneself being suppressed by a demon, or others being possessed by a demon, various terrifying sights appear clearly even though they are not there, etc. Second, regarding the four aspects of limbs, first is eye blurring: When squeezing the eye, a single object such as a pillar or vase appears as two. If one closes either eye, it disappears, so it is not in the external environment. Since one sees it oneself, it is not completely non-existent either. Therefore, it is one's own mind that appears that way due to the effect of confusion. Second is cataracts: Due to the eye faculty being obscured by cataracts, when looking at the sky, one sees strands of hair or swarms of flies even though they are not actually there. Third is the firebrand: When lighting the tip of a thin stick and quickly spinning it, it appears like a wheel, but when the fire is in one direction, it is not in the other direction. Fourth is rapid spinning: When stretching out the arms and spinning around in all directions, the earth appears to become the sky, and the sky appears to become the earth, etc. Relying on these, the external appearances are not made by Ishvara, Vishnu, or atoms, etc., but are the magical manifestations of one's own mind. This is to cut off elaboration. These are also as stated in the *Guhyasamaja Tantra*: "Outside of the precious mind, there is no Buddha and no person. The meaning of the place of consciousness, or the external environment, does not exist at all." And as stated in the *Lankavatara Sutra*: "The mind disturbed by habitual tendencies appears to have real meaning, but in reality, it has no real meaning; the mind itself is."
