Alas, not even a single zho of gold was found. Now, in places like Yüwa Valley where there is plenty of gold every day, there is no place more happy, more beautiful, and more pleasant than Kham. In Lungshö (Klung-shod), there is no one happier than the Syennga-ba (spyan snga ba). He said it was because of acting according to the Dharma. The Syennga-ba's name was Tsultrim Bar (tshul khrims 'bar). He received Dharma transmission from Jowo Je (Jo-bo-rje). He was mainly supported by the Teacher (ston pa). At Radreng (Rwa-sgreng), Khampa Yeshe Bar (khams pa ye shes 'bar) and he were considered to be models of good meditative absorption. They were known as the "Two Bars." He established Lo Monastery (Lo dgon pa). His merits were limitless. Tölungpa Rinchen Nyinpo (stod lungs pa rin chen snying po) was the reincarnation of Juyülwa (bya yul ba), and Tröndrü Bar (brtson 'grus 'bar) of Mengar Monastery (mngar dgon pa), who was said to be a companion of Phagom Syennga-ba (phag sgom spyan snga ba), and so on, many great ones appeared. He lived to be seventy-one years old. An assembly of about seven hundred people gathered. Initially, they relied on only a small amount of tsampa. Because he patched his robes, Syennga-ba was known as "Koshamchen" (ko sham can). Now he says, "Even if I were to feed all the people of Jambudvipa, would they survive?" Similarly, like Mila (mi la), Dakpo (dwags po), and Götsangpa (rgod tshangs pa), and so on, how much suffering did they endure in their early, impoverished days before entering the Dharma. Because they renounced this life, they were happier than ordinary people. Similarly, if we contemplate the biographies of all the holy lamas of the past, it is almost entirely the same. We ourselves should also contemplate these, and if I renounce this life and do not attain happiness, that is impossible. If one does not renounce this life and attains happiness, that is unlikely, so why not renounce this life? One should think in this way and discard everything like a discarded broom. Also, the abbot of the monastery said: Cut off the ties of this life. Put the burden of food behind you. Abandon body and life. Contemplate the biographies of the Kagyu lineage. Generate disgust and suffering. Rely on solitary places and cultivate practice with perseverance, so that a kind of realization will arise from within. The abbot of Lama Ye Monastery said: Rather than having many people who are just like ordinary people, spread out the biographies of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as a mat. From their early days until later, how did they practice? If you do that, you will get a good, unfailing result. Poto-wa (Po-to-ba) said: Because one does not understand this, one engages in evil deeds.

Alas! It is said that many different evil deeds are shown in this short life. It is said that understanding this will lead to not doing evil deeds and to having a desire to be self-reliant. Geshe Dingpa was a disciple of Potowa, his clan was Shangpa Tsap, his name was Sherab Gyatso, he promoted altruistic activities in Ding, and lived to be sixty-eight years old. When he asked his father for instructions, his father said he had no instructions, because he was the son of an old father, and if he wanted to learn something, he would teach him something. Kyéchokpa also said: There is no happiness greater than staying without burdens in the mind; there is no ease greater than staying without doing anything; there is no greater purpose than leaving the mind without attachment. Sakya Pandita also said: Sakya Pandita is the all-knowing one, who saw Manjushri and others, and spread the teachings in both China and Tibet, and lived to be seventy years old. His disciples include Pawa Rigpai Senge, who holds the transmission of teachings, and others such as Kangnyen Zhang Sum, and the lineage holders of practice, Mar Chögyal, Lhoba Kunkhyen Rinchen, and others, the lineage holders of realization, Tsokgom Kunga Pal, and the accomplished Yönten Taye, and many others. All independence is happiness, all dependence is suffering. The best of happiness is a happy mind, the best of wealth is generosity, and the best of friends is one who does not deceive. Even if a wise person practices in this life, if they practice the Dharma, they will become happy. Look at the perfect difference between the holy ones and the robbers. It is said. Among the direct disciples of Shangtsun Yangpa's Rinpoche, there was a Bodhisattva. He was the lama of three brothers. When he passed away, all the heavenly music was heard. He said: Even if you die of cold, even if you die of hunger, if you think that even if you die of cold or hunger you will practice the Dharma, then even if you are really going to die of cold you will not die, and even if you are really going to die of hunger you will not die. Shang Nanam Dorje Wangchuk, the one who built Gyal Lhakhang, Lungtok Taye. In Tibet, there were Lume and others who revived the Dharma. He was also the lama of Geshe Tonpa, and now the earliest and best of all the monasteries in Tibet is in Laté. At first, the blessings of the lama were different from others, with special blessings. He said: For a few days I stayed hungry in the mountains, first the herdsman gave me yogurt, and then the villagers took turns to bring me food. It is said. Tsulkha
