It is necessary to learn to abandon the four black dharmas and practice the four white dharmas. The four black dharmas are: First, deceiving any field of merit such as a Khenpo or Lama with lies is a black dharma, so it should never be done. As an antidote to this, do not lie to any sentient being, even for the sake of life or jest. The second black dharma is causing others to regret their virtuous deeds, which they did not regret before. Such behavior should never be done. As an antidote to this, if the being to be tamed is a suitable vessel, do not encourage them towards the Lesser Vehicle, but encourage them towards the Great Vehicle. The third black dharma is speaking unpleasant words out of hatred towards someone who has generated the mind of Great Vehicle Bodhicitta. Such behavior should never be done. As an antidote to this, generate the perception of a teacher towards the Great Vehicle practitioner. When the time is right, speak praises that are in accordance with reality, and cultivate pure perception towards all sentient beings. The fourth black dharma is treating sentient beings with deceit and trickery. Such behavior should never be done, and one should have honest thoughts towards sentient beings. Je Tsongkhapa also said: Bodhicitta is the main trunk of the Great Vehicle path, the basis and support of great practices, like alchemy that increases the two accumulations, and a treasure of merit that gathers limitless virtues. Knowing this, heroic sons of the Buddhas should cherish this precious Bodhicitta in their hearts. Knowing this, heroic sons of the Buddhas should cherish this precious Bodhicitta in their hearts. So, is it enough to just study aspirational Bodhicitta? It is not enough to just do that. On top of that, one must take the engaging vows and learn the great practices of a Bodhisattva. Among these, to ripen one's own continuum, one must study the six perfections; to ripen the continuum of others, one must study the four ways of gathering. In the first of these six perfections, the way to study generosity is to be motivated by the thought of attaining Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings, and to teach the true Dharma, without distortion, to all those who lack it; to protect them from the fears of kings and armies, from the fears of sentient beings such as ghosts, wild animals, and snakes, and from the fears of non-sentient beings such as fire and water; to give those who lack wealth such as food, drink, bedding, and medicine when sick, so that they have no lack. In short, body and wealth.

May all the virtuous roots accumulated in the three times be given away without reservation. As Je Rinpoche said: "Giving is the wish-fulfilling jewel that fulfills the hopes of beings, the supreme weapon that cuts the knot of miserliness, the practice of the bodhisattva that generates fearless courage, the basis for spreading a good reputation in all directions. Thus, the wise should rely on the excellent path of completely giving away wisdom, body, and possessions." Second, the method of learning ethics is: to attain Buddhahood for the sake of sentient beings. Therefore, mindfulness, awareness, shame, and embarrassment should be valued, and non-virtue should not be done even at the cost of one's life. Thus, relying on the ethics of abstaining from misconduct, the six perfections must be developed. Relying on these two, one should accomplish the benefit of sentient beings without any fault, and thus learn the three ethics. Je Rinpoche said: "Ethics are the water that washes away the stains of misconduct, the moonlight that dispels the heat of afflictions, majestic like Mount Meru in the midst of people, revered by all without the threat of force. Having known this, protect the rightly learned ethics like your eyes." Regarding the method of learning patience: one should not be angry when others harm oneself, because the harm others do to oneself is the retribution for harming them in the past, and they themselves are also controlled by anger and cannot help themselves, so one should not retaliate with harm. Even a moment of anger destroys the virtuous roots of the three bases accumulated over many eons, so I must not let the thought of anger arise in my mind, and cultivate patience that is indifferent to harm. When others harm oneself and experience intense suffering, it eliminates pride and arrogance, and generates a mind that is determined to renounce samsara. Since suffering is undesirable, and it arises from non-virtue, if there is no cause, how can there be a result? Therefore, one should not cling to non-virtue. By thinking about the harm others have done to oneself and cultivating patience, the other six perfections are also perfected, and Buddhahood is attained. Therefore, one should see the harmer as a lama who gives the secret of cultivating patience, and generate a mind of gratitude, which is the patience of accepting suffering. And, to the Three Jewels and the Buddha
