He declared this truth to the naturally perfect Great Perfection yogi Longchen Rabjampa in the manner of definitive realization of the cause and effect of primordial liberation. He declared it to Jamyang Kunga Gyaltsen. He declared it to the incomparable Chöje Rinpoche Raja. Second, the actual instructions that arise from that have three parts: the preliminary Guru Yoga, the actual expression of the instructions, and the method of cultivating subsequent experiences. First, to recognize the wisdom face of the meaning of mind itself depends on the precious Guru. Therefore, the practice of Guru Yoga must precede it. The root tantra, chapter twenty-three, says: Extremely swift wisdom is free from all thoughts, like a precious jewel arising from all spiritual friends, not relying on objects or changing places, it fulfills all expectations of one's own nature, it is non-existent when examined, but when left alone, it arises perfectly, it does not appear outwardly, but it shows all aspects of attachment, it is a skillful guide free from self and other, it is a treasure of jewels, it is the place of accomplishing everything, it shows compassion without self. Therefore, sit on a comfortable cushion, take refuge, and the object of

With the compassion that arises, and after the very nature of one's own being is primordially unborn in the ultimate truth, the letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།), the essence of one's own body and mind being inseparable, with its deep blue light, purifies all appearances of grasping and being grasped, both externally and internally, with a great web of light, and one should visualize oneself in the realm of Akanishta as being of the nature of gods and goddesses. From that very state, one's self is Vajra, the Mind Hero, deep blue in color, with one face and two arms, adorned with silks and jewels on a body seated in the posture of a Mind Hero. The right hand holds a vajra pointing upwards, placed at the heart, and the left hand holds a bell resting on the hip. One should contemplate that from the heart, like a rainbow, a web of light radiates in all directions. On the crown of that being, above a lotus stem adorned with lions and jewels, is the root guru himself, in the form of Kunjed Gyalpo (Samantabhadra), with a deep blue body, one face, and two arms, holding the mudra of meditation. To signify that the Dharmakaya is free from all elaborations, the body is without ornaments or clothing, appearing but without inherent existence, seated in the vajra posture. Around him, one should visualize the lineage gurus as countless forms of the five Buddha families, filling with light, without inherent existence, each complete with their own ornaments and attire. From their bodies, immeasurable rays of light radiate into the ten directions of the world. At the apex, one should visualize the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya, countless Sugatas (Buddhas), appearing and performing the deeds of the world. Recite Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 嗡), Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 啊), Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 吽), the Vajra recitation of wind-mind, reciting as much as one is able. Finally, gather and dissolve all speech into Kunjed (Samantabhadra) himself, and then rest in the state of no inherent existence, reciting countless A (Tibetan: ཨ།). Afterwards, may all phenomena of samsara and nirvana be liberated in the primordial state! Having said this, rise from the seat. This is an exceedingly secret and sacred practice. By practicing in this way for half a month, in a state where appearances are vague, like dreams and illusions, compassion arises naturally towards sentient beings, and the wisdom that realizes all phenomena as empty arises spontaneously. One will not be distracted by the affairs of this life, nor will one cling to worldly dharmas. Renunciation and the determination to be free will arise forcefully. Therefore, this is the intention of Kunjed (Samantabhadra).
