Due to being obscured, one falls into the three lower realms, and due to lacking compassion, one is not born in places where sounds are unpleasant or in the two upper realms. Secondly, what ground does it rely on? The path of seeing of the Hearers relies on any of the six meditative grounds. In this regard, if detachment from desire has not preceded it, then it relies on the proximity concentration of the first dhyana; if it has, then it relies on the actual basis of dhyana. It does not rely on the desire realm because the path of seeing is the union of calm and insight. The desire realm has little calm abiding and is very prone to distraction. Because insight is weak, it does not rely on the formless realms either. Although it is possible to generate it by striving for the proximity concentration of the second dhyana, it is difficult to generate because calm abiding is weak. If that is the case, is it the same for the proximity concentration of the first dhyana? It is not the same, because the arising of the path of seeing must rely on the mind of the actual basis of dhyana, and if the actual basis has not been attained, then only the proximity concentration of the first dhyana is easy. It does not rely on the proximity concentration of the second dhyana because it is sufficient to rely on the easier actual basis of the first dhyana. Solitary realizers rely on any of the six grounds of accumulative practice dhyana, and solitary realizers like rhinoceros horns rely on the actual basis of the fourth dhyana. If that is the case, then it is unreasonable to say that solitary realizers like rhinoceros horns are only born in the desire realm after death, because they have abandoned the afflictions below the third dhyana. There is no fault, because although they are not born from karma, they can be born from aspiration. Bodhisattvas rely on the extremely pure ground of the fourth dhyana. They do not rely on proximity concentration because they have already attained the samadhi of the Dharma stream before that. Thirdly, how is it realized according to the proper manner? In the common Lesser Vehicle system, Hearers realize the selflessness of persons with respect to the four truths, and it is not focused on the truths that are conceptually established, but on the truths that are called non-conceptually established, that is, focused on their own characteristics. Solitary realizers realize the grasping of the self of persons and the self of phenomena as being without inherent existence. Bodhisattvas realize both selflessnesses. In the uncommon Greater Vehicle system, the Mother Sutra says: Those who wish to study in the Hearer's ground should also study this Perfection of Wisdom. Following such teachings, the three types of lineages, such as the noble father and sons, do not consider there to be any difference in realizing selflessness. Fourthly, there are two types of momentary arising from action.

That is, the principles of the common vehicle and the uncommon vehicle. First, as stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "The supreme Dharma of the world is the forbearance of Dharma, without outflows. In the suffering of desire, from this, in that is Dharma-wisdom, thus, in the suffering above, subsequent forbearance-wisdom, thus in the three truths." Thus, the Vaibhāṣikas believe that at the end of the supreme Dharma, there is the forbearance of Dharma-wisdom in the suffering of desire, and in that there is Dharma-wisdom, and then, in the suffering of the upper realms, there is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge, and in that there is subsequent knowledge, that is, four moments, and the remaining three truths are also combined in the same way, with sixteen moments of wisdom without outflows, one sees the truth. That is also as stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "Forbearance and wisdom in order, uninterrupted and liberation path. In that fifteen moments, not seen, for the sake of seeing, the path of seeing. In the sixteenth moment, that abides in the fruit." Thus, the eight forbearances are the uninterrupted path because they cut off the acquisition of what is to be abandoned by seeing, and the eight wisdoms are the path of liberation because they experience the acquisition of separation, and fifteen moments of these are the reality of the path of seeing, and the sixteenth moment is the path of cultivation because it is the fruit and is continuous. In the principle of the Great Vehicle Madhyamaka, in the way that Dharma-nature pervades, from the perspective of seeing the path of seeing as one moment without the distinction of new seeing and different kinds. In the way of cutting off superimpositions and generating qualities, there are sixteen moments. That is, the suffering included in the three realms, the four Dharma-forbearances of the uninterrupted path that abandons what is to be abandoned by seeing, and the four Dharma-wisdoms of the path of liberation that abandons that. Those are also held to be the cause of non-subsequent noble Dharma, the four subsequent forbearances of the uninterrupted path that cuts off superimpositions, and the four subsequent wisdoms of the path of liberation that cuts off that. In the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verses, it is said that in relation to the direct realization of the fruit, there is one moment, and in the way of eliminating wrong discriminations in each truth, it is said to be sixteen moments. As stated in the Ornament for Clear Realization, the Dharma-forbearance of suffering is the characteristic of the path of seeing, and the others are said to be imputed. Others also believe that they arise in various ways from one to sixteen according to the order of faculties. And Abhidharma
