It exists as a unity of semen, blood, and wind, and this very subtle collection also exists in the formless realm. Because it pervades all states of samsaric mind, in the Kalachakra teachings, it is indicated by names such as the alaya-vijñana, the migrating karmic imprints, the mind of the fourth state, and the obscurations of leakage. Incidentally, the categories of its names are: Tathagatagarbha, Prajñaparamita, emptiness, the primordial protector, co-emergent wisdom, etc., which are indicated by various names in the Sutras and Tantras. In this base continuum, from the causal vehicle onwards, it is indicated by terms such as Tathagatagarbha, the Perfection of Wisdom, emptiness, and the hundred names of the Prajñaparamita. In the Tantras, the primordial protector, co-emergent wisdom, the luminosity from the Compendium of Practices, and Vajra Wisdom, etc., appear extensively as categories of names for ultimate truth. In the "Face-to-Face Instructions of Manjushri," it is taught with many names such as Suchness, the ultimate limit of reality, etc. Furthermore, it is indicated by various names such as E-vam, Aham, Nada, etc. Secondly, explaining the impure appearance of delusion: From the co-emergent ignorance and the delusion of the eight consciousnesses, the dualistic appearance of grasper and grasped, and the various phenomena of samsara and nirvana arise. That is to say, the alaya-vijñana, the Tathagatagarbha, does not fall to either side of samsara or nirvana, nor is it limited in size, but as the basis for the uninterrupted appearance of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, it is the support. What relies on it is the karmic imprint of the mind, merely the alaya-vijñana, immediately followed by the sixth consciousness, namely the five sense consciousnesses, that is, the eight consciousnesses and their retinue, which are temporary defilements that can be removed. Therefore, in the Sutra of the Final Turning of the Wheel and its commentaries, the root of samsara is said to be the consciousness of grasping, or the alaya-vijñana, which is the ground of the karmic imprints of ignorance, and this is considered to be the latter. Therefore, the Dharmata Suchness, the primordial or fundamental indestructible great bindu itself, due to the influence of co-emergent ignorance, appears as if mixed with oneself, like the movement of the mind stirred by the wind, without recognizing its own nature. When the red aspect dominates, the appearance of samsara and nirvana arises, and other-conception arises. When the white aspect dominates, self-grasping arises, and the eight consciousnesses sequentially...

And from this it extends. In short, due to the agitation of white and red bindus and winds, grasping and the grasped, or appearance and mind, or self and other, objects and subjects, etc., are divided into duality. Among these, all thoughts about "I" are the nature of dharmata, the nature of unborn emptiness. And all thoughts and activities about "other" become part of the clear light appearance, thus manifesting various illusions of samsara and nirvana. Regarding this, if one is not awakened, then dharmata is suchness, the self-nature of self-nature purity. If one is not awakened by what? Because self-nature appears like objects and subjects, it is the energy without cessation. In what way is one not awakened? One is not awakened to the unchanging great bliss, and the cause of illusion is changing habits, from which the twelve links of dependent origination appear again, as stated in the great commentary on the Kalachakra: From habits arises samsara, and from samsara arise habits, and it is samsara. Do the four elements of the basis of emptiness gather from this? Here, in the unique way of tantra, the illusion of samsara is explained. In the view of the father tantra, all clear light is the four emptinesses, such as emptiness. From this arise the four elements. It is believed that these aggregates are the root of generating sentient beings, therefore Arya Deva said: The four, such as earth, and likewise the four emptinesses, are the causes of birth and destruction, these eight things should be understood as consciousness. That is to say, first, clear light pervades everything and is completely empty. From this arises ignorance and a little bit of defiled mind, which is great emptiness near attainment. From this arise various mental factors, which is extreme emptiness, appearance increasing. From this appears grasping and the grasped, the six consciousnesses appear roughly, which is emptiness. The way in which the four elements and so on arise from this is, in the Vajrajnana-samucchaya Tantra it is said: The consciousness that arises from clear light is called mind, intellect, and consciousness, and is the root of all dharmas, possessing the nature of complete defilement and complete purification. From this, thoughts become two, namely self and other. From consciousness arises wind, from wind arises fire, from fire arises water, from water arises earth. From these arise the five aggregates, the six sense bases, and the five objects, all of which are mixed with consciousness. In this way, it is explained that the wheel of samsara, such as consciousness, arises from clear light ignorance. Alternatively, the word "or" is the following word.
