It is explained in the scriptures that this is like the union of skillful means Āli and wisdom Kāli into one form, and their combined union is the immutable bliss vajra and the emptiness mind of all aspects, which is the cause of the arising of non-duality. Here, as the knowledge of the cause of the seat, it is said in the root tantra: 'The combination of A, etc., and Ka, etc., is the cause of the seat of Vajrasattva.' Thus, the great bliss nature light sphere arising from the letters of skillful means and wisdom vowels and consonants, with the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) as the hand symbol and the syllable Phaṭ (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:帕特) as the representation of the blessing ritual of secret space, is not desired, because it is the time of abandoning all conceptual thoughts. The mandala lord Heruka, arising from the image of the cause Vajrasattva, the unified essence of the moon, sun, and bodhicitta, should be visualized in this way. If visualizing his face and hand symbols, as explained in the previous section on raining down, he has eight faces and sixteen arms. Alternatively, in the place of the previously mentioned Sanskrit word 'Purba,' some say 'Putra,' so it is said: 'The face and hand symbols are the same as the son.' Therefore, it is said that the face and hand symbols are the same as the son, the fruit Vajrasattva. The moon, crystal bodhicitta, and the nature of great bliss that has become a jewel, are the same as the co-emergent light of the arising body. From the nature of the union of skillful means, great bliss, and wisdom emptiness, in this way, the main deity and all the retinue are perfected through the ritual of the five manifest enlightenments, which is the view of Tso Kye Zhap. All other teachers explain that the meaning of perfection arises from the seed hand symbols. Here, the difficult-to-purify moon and Ḍaṃgadaśas are explained as the meaning of the moon, crystal, etc., which are white, and it is explained similarly in the practices of Ḍombipa and the black practitioners. Therefore, the glorious Sakyapas consider the cause Vajradhara to be white. The father and son Marpa consider the cause and effect to be the same color. Furthermore, teachers such as Bhava Bhadra consider that the cause Vajradhara is not only eight-faced and sixteen-armed, but the other three Herukas are also the same, and there is no conflict in body color, so one can visualize as one pleases, thus purifying the object to be purified.

will be consistent. Thus it is said. The second is, method and... separate. Thus it is said. Then, is the way to generate the mandala also the same as the main deity? Answer: From the nature of method and wisdom, the way to generate the main deity is like this, and all the deities of the mandala are also complete. Then, what is this method and wisdom like? From the distinction of the white and red bodhicitta symbolized by the moon and the sun, the moon arising from Āli (藏文:ཨཱ་ལི་,梵文天城体:āḥli,梵文罗马拟音:āli,汉语字面意思:Āli) is wisdom, and the sun arising from Kāli (藏文:ཀཱ་ལི་,梵文天城体:kāli,梵文罗马拟音:kāli,汉语字面意思:Kāli) is method. From this union of method and wisdom, White Mother and others are completed, so all the deities have the same face, hands, etc., and they transform into different deities through the distinction of seed syllables. Here, the Sanskrit word "Varna" (藏文:ཝརྣ་,梵文天城体:varṇa,梵文罗马拟音:varṇa,汉语字面意思:color) refers to letters, castes, and colors, etc. The translation of "color" in Zhongmi's translation contradicts the fact that the fifteen goddesses are black. Therefore, the translation by Gewa Blo and Jogdru is correct. The second part of the root, the way to establish each position, has two parts: establishing the supplementary inner deities and establishing the outer deities. (254) The first is, for a while... Yogini. Thus it is said. The order of saying "for a while" is to first establish the five Yoginis on the supplementary lotus in the inner circle, and then contemplate them residing there. They are also purified by grasping and fixation of the nature of the five aggregates such as form, and the yogi contemplates them as appearing at all times with the wisdom of meaning and as being without self-nature. That is, in the sense organ, that is, on the eastern petal of it is Vajra Mother; in Yama, that is, in the south of it is White Mother; in the direction of the water god, the west is Water Yogini; in the direction of the bad body, the north is Vajra Dakini; in the center, that is, in the center of the lotus, the meaning of contemplating Selfless Yogini. The second is, the outer... these positions. Thus it is said. Then the outer supplement, that is, the outer sequence: the east gate is White Mother; the south gate is Thief Mother; the west gate is Corpse Mother; the north gate is Ghasmari; the northeast is Pukkasi; the southeast is Cemetery Mother; the southwest is Candala Mother; the northwest is the eighth goddess of the outer circle, called Dombini; below (255) is the Lower Endowed Mother; above is the Upper Endowed Mother herself. The upper one is called Dakini, and the lower one is called Earthly Walker. The lower one is samsara, and the upper one is the nature of peaceful purity.
