is a body of mind. Except for the noble ones born there, all ordinary beings are beings with a mind of afflicted mind. Here, the statement of formlessness refers to the absence of a coarse body composed of particles, but both Sutra and Tantra speak of the existence of a subtle body. When one arises from Samadhi and transmigrates to another realm, the arising of other discriminations is termed death. Although there are noble ones born in this realm, there is no willful taking of birth. The second has two parts: the main topic and, as an aside, the discussion of the outflows of the two higher realms. The first is: From meditative absorption, born by transformation. It is said that, with the mind engaging in objects, and with the consciousness accompanied by engagement, based on making any of the four contaminated absorptions of the actual meditative absorption as an object, whatever higher realm one is born in, it is called the Form Realm because it possesses pride in form. It rises above the desire realm, and desire and craving, being coarse and manifest, are completely overcome, possessing a body of complete perfection and being born by transformation. (34) Furthermore, the cause of being born in those two higher realms is two types of engagement: the karma of projecting and the karma of accomplishing are manifestly engaged. The former is the respective preparation, and the latter is the actual absorption. These also are two each due to the difference of subtle and coarse. Also, from the perspective of the place, there are four each, so there are eight. Among these, each of the four dhyanas has three each, so there are twelve. From the preparation and actual state of the first dhyana, obtaining a small clear appearance results in birth in the retinue of Brahma. The medium results in Brahma's attendant, and the great results in Great Brahma. Similarly, the small, medium, and great of the second result in birth in Lesser Light, Immeasurable Light, and Clear Light. The third results in birth in Lesser Virtue, Immeasurable Virtue, and Extensive Virtue. The fourth results in No Clouds, Merit-Born, and Greatly Increased Fruit. Since there are sixteen places in the Form Realm, the remaining four are the four Pure Abodes. The cause of being born there is that very fourth dhyana's samadhi combined with uncontaminated wisdom. As stated in the Abhidharma, meditating on paired samadhi results in birth in the five Pure Abodes, which is similar to this. Transcendental Perfection

It is said that there are seventeen realms of form existence, although some consider there to be eighteen. However, the reason why the gods of the realm of non-perception are able to live long lives is that they mistakenly believe that the cessation of consciousness and feeling in the third worldly dhyana is nirvana, and therefore they cultivate the attainment of non-perception. It is said that their abode is similar to that of the gods of Great Fruit, villages, and monasteries. Therefore, other abodes are not counted separately. The Extremely High and the Splendidly Manifest are considered to be different names for the same meaning. Therefore, here it is considered that there are sixteen realms of form existence. Secondly, starting from space... Thus it is proclaimed. So, by which realm of support are those beings born from the realm of form to the formless realm born? According to the view of the Kalachakra, the King of Tantras, the five great elements of space, wind, fire, water, and earth, and the drops (khams byang sems) of the body, which divide the wind of space, etc., into small elements, are due to abandoning bodhicitta, and the bonds of the mind are obscured by afflictive thoughts.

One should understand in detail the method of applying mindfulness accordingly. Regarding the causes of these outflows, from the dependent arising of ignorance up to the dependent arising of the arising of the fruit, these are explained in detail in the treatise "Brief Summary of Mindfulness" composed by the venerable one himself, so please refer to that. Regarding ignorance, there are two types: root ignorance and pervasive ignorance. The first is that in the two upper realms (form realm and formless realm), although there is no actual outflow of the body, there is an outflow of the mind. For example, in the formless realm, the three elements of essence, dust, and wind, which are encompassed by space, the essence and dust of which are separated by wind, become the outflows of grasping and being grasped, and so on. In "Stainless Light," these are referred to as the sound of the outflow of bindus. The second is that from these outflows arise the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and delusion. Third, regarding the manner of taking birth in the desire realm, there are two aspects: a general explanation and the identification of the individual who is the basis of Vajrayana. (36) The first is, from the desire realm, it is said to "possess the four birthplaces." This means that because all six types of beings in the desire realm, which are known as such because they equally enjoy the five objects of desire such as forms and sounds, all possess the elements of earth, water, fire, wind, space, bliss, and wisdom, that is, they possess the six subtle elements. From subtle insects and birds to the gross gods of others' magical emanations, all are the same. These beings of the desire realm are born from wombs, eggs, heat, and moisture, and possess any one of the four birthplaces. Here, the element of bliss and wisdom refers to the bliss of the falling of semen. The second is divided into two: inferior and superior as the basis of Vajrayana. The first is, "Others, etc., the cause is inferior." This means that although all six realms possess the six elements, beings in the evil destinies and gods, etc., other than the three continents, are also inferior bases for Vajrayana. The three lower realms are because they are born in places that are not human realms. Gods and demigods, and those in the north whose sounds are unpleasant, are also inferior bases for it. Because the result of virtuous deeds done in previous lives is that they enjoy happiness in this life, but the cause of doing virtuous deeds and practicing powerful antidotes in this life is weak, they are not suitable as the basis for the vows of individual liberation. Moreover, in the three lower realms, the mind of virtue arises
