Appearing in this way, as the basis of self-appearance, the abilities and qualities of sentient beings, the environment, samsara, and nirvana appear. As stated in the "Heap of Jewels Sutra": Spontaneously accomplished without fixed designation, it appears in the manner of eight appearances. Because its manner of appearance is uninterrupted, from the manner of appearance like compassion, it becomes the place of protection for all sentient beings. From the self-illuminating and unceasing appearance, it appears as the manner of the clarity of the five lights. Because the appearing aspect of wisdom is uninterrupted, in the very gate of pure wisdom, appearance arises unceasingly like a path. Because the self-appearing body completes all boundaries, it appears as the body of all dharmas. Because the essence of awareness is one, it also appears as non-dual. Because it itself has no abiding place, in the appearance of great liberation, spontaneously accomplished without determination appears on the ground. Because awareness is thoroughly complete as one, in the gate of pure wisdom itself, it is related to the essence of reality. Because the manner of appearance is without cessation, in the source of arising for sentient beings, it also arises from the part of pervasive appearance like the gate of impure samsara. All of this appears as eight appearances. Because it appears spontaneously in the manner of arising, it is called the spontaneously accomplished appearance, appearing like a jewel. Thus it is said. The spontaneously accomplished is shown to be without effort: The basis for the spontaneous accomplishment of various dharmas, because the mind of enlightenment is always spontaneously accomplished, the three bodies need not be sought, they are inherently present. Because cause and effect, virtue and non-virtue, do not require effort, it is called self-abiding non-action yoga, the spontaneously accomplished realm without acceptance or rejection. Do not make effort now for the dharma that is already attained. Because the essence of awareness is inherently endowed with qualities, there is no need for effort now. Because there is no virtue, non-virtue, cause, or effect, it does not depend on abandonment or realization. If effort is made, it will never be accomplished, and self-born wisdom will be lost. Therefore, one should realize the great exhaustion of self-abiding dharma. As stated in the "All-Creating King Sutra": The past does not depend on an object, therefore, it does not cultivate from a cause, and does not desire a result. With the intention of non-desire, self-nature is spontaneously accomplished. It is inherently so, there is no need to do anything. Because things are as they are without moving, there is no need to accomplish what is as it is. Because all dharmas are spontaneously accomplished by nature, even if the Buddhas of the three times are accomplished, they will not give teachings on effort and accomplishment. If you seek, what do you seek? With that samadhi.

"Failure leads to meditation becoming a disease." Thus it is said. The lord of creation, I, have already completed everything from the beginning, so do not give instructions to everyone about what needs to be done now. The retinue will be bound by the disease of effort, it will become the fault of lacking self-arisen wisdom, and similarly, it will become the fault of altering from suchness. When falsehood deceives truth and leads to confusion, inappropriate effort will not accomplish the uncreated. Thus it is said. Showing the uncreated as spontaneously accomplished is: Even the enlightenment of all the Buddhas of the three times is spontaneously accomplished in the great bliss of self-nature, without relying on the Dharma of inferior conditions of cause and effect, look at the nature like the uncreated sky. The great spontaneous accomplishment of the Buddha of awareness-meaning is seen in its own place without alteration or corruption, and it is not accomplished by effort and practice. As it says in the *All-Creating King Tantra*: Even the Buddhas of the past did not seek to alter or search outside their own minds, they never altered from suchness, they never meditated on conceptual thoughts of meditation, it is accomplished by the non-conceptual nature of their own minds. Those who are present now and those who will come in the future will also be accomplished by the non-conceptual equality. Thus it is said. All the Dharmas of cause and effect are applied to those of small intellect who have wrong views on the teachings introduced by children of inferior fortune. Do not apply this to the fortunate yogis, just as polishing wood cannot turn it into a jewel, so too, taking and abandoning cause and effect cannot lead to Buddhahood. As it says in the *All-Creating King Tantra*: Therefore, the Great Perfection that transcends cause and effect is not the realm of practice for those of inferior fortune, so practice the Dharmas of cause and fruit. Thus it is said. For those who lack karma and have little fortune, even if it is shown openly without concealment, they will not understand, they will be bound by the poison of effort in cause and effect. If someone desires a precious jewel, just as polishing wood will not change it, for the yogi who has good karma and is fortunate, there is no view, samaya, activity, path-taking, bodhicitta, cause and effect, practice, or antidote. Seeing that ultimate and conventional are two without distinction, that is seeing the suchness of the mind, and for such a person, that is the need of needs. Thus it is said. Showing that because it is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, there is no need to practice now, is: For suchness, there is no need to practice now, because it is
