There are seventy-two thousand channels. As stated in the Hevajra Tantra: "Seventy-two thousand channels, the types of channels are explained." That is to say, because luminosity abides, among the four channels with great characteristics, the Kati golden great channel is located in the center of the central channel, and from there it is connected to the center of the heart, abiding in the place filled with the primordial bindu of Samantabhadra. The channel like white silk thread is named from the part of the light channel that points upwards to the Brahma aperture. It is the bindu that enters the path of the unborn nature of reality, manifesting the body of non-conceptual wisdom, and is the path for practicing the transference of consciousness onto a support, because it is above the nine apertures. The fine and coiled channel acts as the support of luminosity from the center of the four chakras, that is, the bindu at the apex of Samantabhadra abides in the five lights, rays, and subtle bindus. The channel with a crystal tube connects from the heart to the eyes, it is the bindu with the adornment of Samantabhadra, and is the support for the manifestation of countless appearances of the Vajra Rosary. That is to say, the light channel and luminosity that rely on the purity of the heart's center, appear as if fine channels radiate light in all directions, therefore it is called pervading the Tathagatagarbha. The essence of this wisdom is emptiness, its nature abides in the five lights, and compassion pervades the rays. Although it abides in the great source of body and wisdom, the pure part of the essence Dharmakaya emptiness wisdom is obscured by the Alaya consciousness and the eight aggregates of consciousness; the nature manifests as five lights, but is obscured by the coarse mass of flesh and blood; the rays of compassion and the place where wisdom manifests are obscured by karma and habitual tendencies. Although it abides in a nature that is very difficult to see, it is not non-existent, but pervades all sentient beings, existing with their respective bodies as a support. As stated in the Two Examinations Tantra: "Great wisdom abides in the body." And as stated in the Doha: "Wisdom exists in the body but is not realized." And as stated in the Uttaratantra: "The perfect Buddha body can radiate, likewise the nature is inseparable, because there is awareness, all sentient beings constantly have the Tathagatagarbha." That is to say, this wisdom Tathagatagarbha itself is covered by the net of the ordinary body, therefore it is called embodied; covered by the net of the eight aggregates of consciousness, therefore it is called sentient; covered by karma and habitual tendencies, therefore it is called defiled; obscured by the nature of ignorance, therefore it is called darkened.

The names such as these are used to describe the time of existence in samsara. The hidden contents of the lower tantras are revealed and explained here. Therefore, the primordial wisdom of the self-arisen realm, the Sugata-garbha, is now universally present in the body. Fourth, the method of practicing the nature of reality: First, although the basic awareness itself exists within oneself, it cannot be liberated unless it is grasped through the instructions of the precious guru, so it must be grasped. Among these, the first is the four ripening empowerments, which serve as the basis of the path, as stated in the Tantra of Sound Transformation: With elaboration and without elaboration, utterly without elaboration, extremely without elaboration, empowerment in four ways, ripens the fortunate ones. Therefore, first, with the outer elaboration of the vase empowerment, purify the obscurations of the body, infuse the power of the body, and have the authority to practice the generation stage. Then, with the inner non-elaboration of the secret empowerment, purify the obscurations of speech, establish the power of speech, and have the authority to practice the completion stage of tummo, bindu, and mantra recitation of the letter wheel. Then, with the utterly non-elaboration of the wisdom-jnana empowerment, purify the obscurations of mind, infuse the power of mind, and have the authority to practice the great bliss union and realize the wisdom of primordial dharmata. Then, with the extremely non-elaboration of the word empowerment, purify all obscurations, purify the ignorant nature towards knowable objects, infuse the power of self-arisen luminosity, and have the authority to practice the meaning of manifest spontaneous accomplishment. Therefore, all empowerments must be fully obtained. As it is said in The Vajrasattva Heart Mirror: Without the empowerment of secret mantra, practice will not succeed, like a listener without hands. And as it is said in The Secret Essence: If the teacher is not pleased, and the empowerments are not fully bestowed, the actions such as listening, etc., will be fruitless and ruined. And as it is said in The Root Tantra of the First: Without empowerment, explaining the tantra, practicing the profound dharma, even if one knows its meaning well, one will fall into hell and there will be no liberation. And as it is said in The Explanatory Tantra Vajra Garland: Without empowerment, explaining the tantra, even if one knows the meaning of mantra through practice, the teacher and disciple are the same, then one will fall into great weeping. After fully obtaining empowerment, abide
